Texas vs Texas A&M

It was nice to see Texas mop up the field with A&M at DKR. It was a long overdue beatdown. The Aggies had made the Longhorns look silly the last 2 seasons. Some of those ghosts were put to bed. If you want to be taken serious nowadays you can't lose to A&M anymore or at least not until they turn that program around back to its former prominence. You gotta put a good spanking on 'em. It was a good game and I thought both teams both played hard and there may have been some chippy play but for the most part it was all classy (besides McGee and his big mouth).

Hopefully the next time we see Orakpo playing a football game in the state of Texas it will be in a Texans uniform. We need a guy like that opposite of Mario. He just explodes at the snap of the ball.

Look on the bright side Aggie fans.....atleast y'all will no longer have to put up with that loser McGee, all I ever kept hearing during his time there was how great his potential as a passer was....but he was nothing but a crappy college QB. I still don't know why the hell A&M ever fell in love with him....oh yeah, it's because he's a "tough guy with fire". A&M will be much better without him.

There are plenty of top notch QBs in this conference and if A&M wants to turn around their program and compete in this conference, it's time they finally find one.

He CAN pass. It was Fran and his group of mis-fits that came up with the idea that he should be a running quarterback. Under Fran he took a pounding that screwed his shoulder. He is actualy a good fit for Sherman except that he's been hurt this year and now he's gone.

Anyway.....

The only thing I took out of last nights game was: a) the Aggies can't tackle and b) they have some young talent (but not nearly enough). If Sherman is going to turn the program around, he better be one helluva recruiter. The cupboard is nearly bare.

Good luck to the Sips. No matter how much I hate TU, I till pull for them 7 days a week and twice on Sundays whenever it comes to OU. If I ever hear Boomer Sooner again, it will be too damn soon.... :gun:

Finally, the sign of the night goes to the Sip fan that held up this sign: "Javorsky Lane ate my other sign"

I agree with you about OU and I thought the sign was hilarious. Did you notice they even tore off the corner of the sign they had...

I got tired of all the 45-35 signs.. ok you beat OU we get it...but where are the Texas Tech beat us signs? why does Texas think it should be ahead of Tech? I love how the facebook dork was shut up when asked about the Tech loss. So who goes to the championship anyways? I think you need a supercomputer to figure it out.

Bottom line there needs to be a playoff...but then what would the dorks do to make themselves feel important...oh yeah message boards.

Muschamp might be a great coach, or he might be a good coach surrounded by great recruits, but his ridiculous, over the top antics on the sideline are just stupid to watch.

Motivate your players, but don't look like a dimwit doing it!

I don't know if I would want a guy like that representing my university, but whatever...

Especially when he chest bumped one of the players and fell on his ass. That was one of two bright spots for me in the game (the other being the Jorvorskie sign).

Not a horns fan then?

LOL. I love his passion even when he looks insane out there. His new contract is well deserved and pretty much solidifies another 15+ years of owning AtM when Mack Brown leaves.

as long as the results stay good, then I suppose the antics will be tolerated, but a few poor seasons and he could be kicked to the curb pretty quickly.

Man i have to laugh at some of the accusations thrown around. First Mack Brown is too soft and he brings in a guy that has fire and now that's too much. Figures

I like Muschamp and what he has brought to the table this year. I hope to see his success continue with this team and that kind of intensity filters through.

It's one thing being a great coordinator and another thing being a great head coach. Muschamp has only proven 1 outta 2 so far.

Kinda hard to prove the second one when you haven't had the opportunity yet.

Learning to be a head coach under Mack Brown for five years is the best kind of job experience you can get.

And Muschamp's "antics" are hardly ridiculous. If only we could be so lucky to have some coaches on the Texans staff that were that passionate about football. Then maybe we could have a winning season for once.

So true man.

Just heard through one of my pipelines that Mike Goodson is going to enter the draft.

I searched for some articles but all I could find was this:

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/6149183.html

Texas A&M coach Mike Sherman said he doesn't expect junior tailback Mike Goodson to return to the Aggies for his senior season.

Sherman wouldn't elaborate but said it was because of a "combination of things."

Goodson is expected to declare for the NFL Draft.

The Klein Collins alum was the Aggies' leading rusher this year, gaining 406 yards (4.3 per carry) in 10 games. His yardage and yards per carry declined each season at Texas A&M, coming down from 847 yards (6.7 per carry) his freshman year.

Goodson also caught 37 passes for 386 yards this year.
