Trade up in the draft for a QB? Hell they may not even have to trade up.
Remove kubiak. Schaub is his love child
how about we trade up for a lb who can cover a ****ing tight end

But the QB was great, right? Isn't this a QB thread?Off: RG, RT
Def: OLB, CB, MLB
Corners really got beat today.. Maybe it was a lack of pressure on passing plays but either way the Ravens took some shots at us.

Agree
They're a package deal I'm convinced. Kubiak doesn't want a Wilson or a Kaepernick here. He doesn't even want an Andrew Luck. He wants a robot who will "execute the play as it is designed" and who will "throw it away and take no chances if it didn't go as planned". Kubiak doesn't want a player who can create anything on his own because that's not part of the system and the system is pretty much how Kubiak's "magic" works.
Nothing's changing though so there's no sense getting wound up over it. The Texans aren't going to be going after a QB unless Schaub gets decapitated out there and even then I doubt he'll look for someone we'd get excited about. He'll find another plodding goober who takes orders and doesn't do anything unexpected.
I cut out in the 3rd quarter when it became clear that this was one of those games where Gary's system doesn't work because the other coach is smart too and the other team isn't going to get all confused and **** the bed. See, the good teams, the well coached teams don't do that even when penalties are raining down on them and nothing is going their way.
Baltimore has our number unless they're the walking dead like they were last year and when things get tough they get it together and keep working. We seem to breed a different kind of team here in Houston.
It's sad really. Lots of wasted careers and years out there playing for this chump and his trained chimp QB. This feels to me a lot like that 6-10 season the Texans coughed up a few years ago. We're in for a lot of this for a long time. We know McNair will put up with bad for about four years. Who knows how long he'll be good with one-and-done playoff appearances and being thought of as a contender? Gary could be here another 10 years pulling that ****.
I don't think Kubiak would want to start over with a rookie. But if the Texans miss the playoffs, he may have get a Manziel to regain McNair's trust that the team isn't treading water. As far as what it will take to trade up? I think kubiak would have to get fired or Schaub would need to just need to continue to be himself.

Im just not buying this crap. Do we need an upgrade at QB? Obviously. Do we need an upgrade at O-Line? No doubt about it. Do we need better outside pash rushers? Absolutely.
But to say Kubiak would pass on a Wlson or a Kaepernick just because they are "too athletic" is ridiculous.

Fine, don't buy it. The biggest point I'm trying to make is that Gary is a ****ing control freak and that Wilson, Kaep, or Luck wouldn't be "Wilson, Kaep, or Luck" here playing for Gary. They'd be Gary's robot and nothing more. Obviously more mobile than Matt but still locked into their instructions from the Brainiac holding the Denny's menu.
If they colored outside the lines they'd sit for not being a pro.
Like I said, it's not worth worrying about too much. It isn't going to change as long as he's here. I just go outside and do yard work on days when they face a real opponent and it all works out fine.
Don't think he was saying that. I think he was saying that those other QB's are more free thinkers, and that Kubiak wants more of a "do it my way" guy. That's true. Kubiak is wedded to his system, and appears to want QB's who toe the line.
Remember when Harbaugh benched Smith during the season? Everyone was shocked, but that took stones. That led to the Super Bowl. Kubiak would never do that.
So those guys would throw the pick sixes, make bad decisions, or under throw receivers as well because they would be his "robot"??
Every qb does all of these things...just b/c you have a front row seat to matt schaub's doesnt change that fact.
This doesnt make any sense. Schaub has the same arm as Kaep and Wilson?
What i mean is it Doesnt matter what kind of arm your qb has, they all throw pick 6's, they all underthrow/overthrow recievers and they all make bad decisions when they throw the ball at times. You guys only think these things sre exclusive to schaub b/c ya'll watch him every week.
Well no s**t all QBs make mistakes or miss a throw at some point. The premise was that even with a QB who has BETTER tools than Schaub it wouldnt matter because they would automatically suck too in this system. And I disagree. And certainly cant be proven as Schaub is our ONLY measuring stick. Do you guys honestly think Kubiak would not love to have RG3? Or that the system we have is not limited because of Schaubs ability??
Fortunately, we have someone like yourself that doesn't make foolish statements. The problem i have with you guys though is that y'all pick the silliest things to ***** about and start making foolish statements....
What bothers me about this loss and all the other games is that we have extended periods of time where we are completely inept.
I don't see how a team with this much talent can do that. We should be able to pit up more than 9 pts against everyone in the nfl

Of course he'd love to have RG3 or a qb with better tools....i would too. But dont you think if ot was that easy he and a bunch of other coaches would've gone out and got that guy by now? This isnt the rb position we're talkng about here.

How are the Steelers the Texans equal (at least) in offensive weaponry? Can you even name a Steeler skill position player without clicking on their web site? When that continues to happen, that's squarely on the HC....look at the Giants and the Steelers. They each have what most on here would consider to be better qbs than we have and at least are equal to us in offensive weaponry.

Good thing you never say anything foolish or silly or I would think that was a foolish statement.
They've got good skill guys, they're just unknown. Ben, antonio brown, heath miller, sanders are all solid guys.
No they really aren't. They have one of the worst groups of skill players in the league this year. Wallace was the last one they had.

This is one of the dumbest posts I've ever seen. Yeah, Kubiak wouldn't want Andrew Luck. Stop posting.
