Week 4: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Houston Texans.

I'm down with trading tunsil at this point. The only thing he brings to the game that we don't have is drive killing penalties.
Tunsil only had 1 penalty in 2021. He had a down year last year and kind of a bad start to this year.

He is quickly finding out you can't just bull rush in nfl
I wonder if the game plan was to keep Pickett in the pocket. I mean he's no Monatana, but he was only successful when he got outside & "made" stuff happen. In the pocket, he was a big zero.

Grenard's sack was on a play Pickett broke contain, he was able to disengage from the block & roll up on Pickett (poor guy).

He only throws to one receiver, which is Pickens. Once he was neutralized, Pickett hard a tough time finding other receivers.

That stupid idiot Stroud did it again.. Someone needs to give the S2 creators a I.Q. test. Rookie Stroud is like a damn cheat code right now.. buckle up boys, we're going to the playoffs. Definitely winning this division.

Not only the division this season, Stroud will dominate the AFC South long term like Manning did. We're watching rare talent.

Talk of the Texans being division winners and making the playoffs is understandable but let's not get ahead of ourselves. The Steelers offense was inept and that was due in large part because of bad play calling. The Steelers ran the ball fairly well and had a great deal of momentum when they were in our RedZone and rather than run the ball on fourth and less than 1 ytg they tried to be cute and pass the ball. It backfired and gave our guys huge momentum. Overall the Steelers made our defense look better than it was.

I am happy with the win and I like the culture being built but we can't be completely satisfied. Some early poor officiating worked on our behalf as well.

Taking advantage of our opportunities is something our guys wouldn't do in the past so that is something to be happy about.

My only point is that the dynamics of games change and other teams will play better and our guys can't look past anybody. They must play better.

The Falcons lost to the Jaguars and we beat the Jaguars a few weeks ago and we can't overlook the Falcons. It could easily become a trap game.

The potential is great but like CJ said in the press conference the team must not get too high or too low. There is a lot of work to be done.

The energy in the stadium today was intense. There was lots of black and yellow that came in making lots of noise. They were pretty quiet on the way out.
This team has looked legitimate the last two games.

The JJ Watt ceremony was very moving.

That's all I've seen him do the last 2 weeks. Maybe JJ spends some time with him and gives him some pointers. Unfortunately, WA is light in the pants for a DE with his hand in the dirt. He needs to learn double, and triple moves to get the win on pass rushes.
He's big enough, it's just the bend and counters. He's bigger than Von Miller. He's close enough to Bosa too. The player from North Carolina, his name slips me, but he was a high end rusher with Rams, Cowboys, and Bears and Anderson is bigger than him. Hell, he's the same size as Greenard. It's going to take some time, and that's cool. Dylan Horton made some plays today too.

That's great, however, it doesn't mean you can't get pumped up about the Texans dominating their opponent for a 2nd straight week.

Sure, everything you said about the Steelers is true, but the Texans have plenty of problems too. Their USFL level o-line had no business making guys like TJ Watt a nonfactor yet here we are. The Texans run game has been nonexistent, boom, there's 139 for you.

Sure, next week will be another challenge that can go however the ball bounces. The parity in this league means any team can beat you on any day. But damn man, after the dark days we've had around these parts are we not allowed to get a little excited for not just 2 wins, but 2 dominating wins?

"Experts" are projecting the Steelers to beat the Texans in a close game? I put a link down below for y'all to hear what Pittsburgh has been doing this year and I have a really good feeling that Houston has a good chance of winning this game.

Experts were wrong! Game was not close. And the Texans won!!! 30-6 but the game was not even as close as the score.

Congratulations to JJ Watt!!

Based on a long spell of losing and being doormats I can't argue with your logic.

I did state that one of the things I liked is how these Texans took advantage of opportunities as opposed to choking when they were presented.

I feel much better about this team now than I have in.a long time.

Texans have a trap game? Who would have thunk it?

Okay, I admit it. I was skeptical last week cause Jags are going to Jag..... but for the first time in a very long time I have hope in my team for more than just hope for hopes sake.

I officially admit I was wrong and I am glad we took CJ. I wasn't against CJ himself, just taking QB in general at this point but I am happy crow is on the menu.

Put that crow in lasagna

I’m with you man…wanted to build the defense and OL and wait till next year for a QB…man I’m so glad to be wrong!

And that's the thing when making predictions. LOL. Whether by skill or luck, the Texans got the prize this year.

Considering they are still learning how to play in the system, CJ is still a rookie (but damn he looks good), the OL is playing what 3rd string as starters... I would have to say that we are EVERY team we plays "trap game". Unlikely that we will be favorites in almost any game this season. But, keep on this path and let the team make it through a season and grow together, and another good draft...and look out in 2024-2025 season!!

Not sure if that was meant as a shot to Cal’s wife but I, on the other hand, give credit to her for what we have going on right now with the team. Seems like she had a hand in it.

Was a shot but not at her.

lol
