I hear you. The very first screen I believe it was, Greenard ran right past everybody. You could see the screen coming. I think he was just so excited to be rushing the QB he forgot about the screen developing.

As a DE, how do you diagnose a screen? "This tackle let me beat him too easily, I'm not this good, must be a screen."

But seriously, how do you? I remember Clowney was so good at recognizing screens and would cover the RB. The play is basically dead at that point.

I guess my point is, a rookie got smoked because he was hyped up and only did one thing, RUSH the passer. Two Olinemen pulling to your side and a RB slippin behind them....Uh Oh, not a run play.
Clowney was great against the run and very good at getting the screen passes figured out. Watt used to be real good at it too. I guess he still is somewhat. But Greenard, he's got some learning to do.
