Saw this segment on NFL.com about how they think or are saying that Watt is overrated/overhyped because he's identifying the weak link each week and basically tells the rest of the guys to step aside so he can take advantage of those easy matchups. Now I haven't studied the coaches film or anything on Watt each game but I can't really remember the last time he destroyed a Tyron Smith type tackle, a Mangold type Center. Does it matter as far as our chances to win games? No as long as it helps us win games. Does it matter when it comes to judging his individual performance compared to other elite players that are matched up with other elite players each week? I think so. Hopkins doesn't put those numbers again when matched up with weak corners, he's matched up with Pro Bowl corners each week and he beats them. And this would also explain a little why the rest of our defense can't be relied on as far as rushing the passer, they're matched up with better talent so it's harder to get to the QB. Wouldn't mind if we mixed things up a little. Put Watt at RE against some elite LT and then have Mercilus rush from the other side or even Clowney.
