2/6 Redzone = awful playcalling
Minshew needs to ball out next week and Titans should beat us the following week but will probably lose. We might be 0-6 or 1-5 entering the bye week after facing Green Bay. Hopefully Ob’s gone sooner. The owner is a joke man
I doubt that was Watson's idea. Why did Watson ask for a no trade clause?
I think the Texans have decided to make sure Jacksonville don't get the #1 overall pick.2/6 Redzone = awful playcalling

Doesn't freak'n matter. Fire him now. Promote the Gatorade dude to HC/GM. Then in three years, when you have some money & some draft picks, hire a GM & let him hire a coach. This team is a miserable wreck with no draft picks in sight. If OB gets fired, who'd want this job? Even at that, I'd take anyone not named OB at this point. Something new to ***** about would be a change at least.

The longer BO'b is in this position that day will keep moving three years into the future because he'll continue to trade future picks & overspending into future years.
Stop the bleeding now, heal later

One things for sure, Watson is not playing up to our expectations, or to his vaunted reputation as a great QB. Whether you blame it on him not being that great in the first place, or the Texans ruined him, or it's the line, or what-the-****-ever, he ain't getting the job done.
But he vanquished the jaguars twice, shouldn't we throw a parade? What good things are there to talk about?
The team is 2-6 and DW4 is a big part of that as well as the defense/OL etc...
Look at these rookie type mistakes by the great Tom Brady.
No freaking way the great Tom Brady is making these type of mistakes.
Say it ain’t so
When have y’all seen Watson throw 5 interceptions in one game.
This can’t be the great Drew Brees Earl, Sanyo, Optimistic and 76.
Say it ain’t so!
Let’s get this thread back on track.
If it’s not rainbows & lollipops Watson’s the bestest, post it in another thread. I’m sure the arguee will follow.

You asked and as you can see it is ignored. Maybe a PM might do the trick
Pretty much every QB has rough days .... that you can show Brady and Brees struggle at times is absolute proof of that.
And Watson isn't throwing picks - that's not the issue really. It's more about making quality decisions in the vast majority of snaps.
Watson makes a heck of a lot of big plays.
He's also putting up "good statistics" overall.
But .... When does perform these big plays ? When do the stats come ?
The majority of these stats come when they are already behind - blame the defense if you like but you also have to look at the fact that they have scored 1 count them first drive TD in the last two seasons with him at the helm - now blame the OL , playcaller , scheme , pass catchers ....
The Greenbay game , he put up "great stats" ..... but GB led by 21 before they got off the starting line.
Titans - 14-0 before they did anything offensively.
Minnesota - 10-0 and 17-3 before they got it in gear.
Baltimore 10-0 ....
When teams get a lead , they change their defensive approach on the back end to "keep everything in front of you and make them burn clock."
In those situations , numbers don't mean the same thing as they do when the game is tighter.
Big plays are great ..... but controlling the game is better.
Excuse me .... I didn't see TK's post until after I posted the above. I can move it elsewhere if you like.
And I can show the slow start from every darn quarterback and team out there. It happens but you guys don’t want to talk about the good he does. This is what this thread suppose to be about. There are many other threads highlighting yall concerns and complaints his growth.
Why do you continue to back of those that act like these other quarterbacks are perfect? Like they’re without flaws.
And to your point, last I checked it’s a team sport. So the slow starts fall on all of them. From the HC, OC and the players on the field. The offensive linemen has to start coming prepared and ready to go. The running backs needs to earning their paychecks. That position is making top running back pay. But are you same gentleman harping on their mistakes? Heck no
That’s not fair. & it’s a shame it has come to this.Boy ryan tannehill is the GOAT lol

& DW4 has yet to play that defense

lol whatever floats your boat. To compare Tannehill or Schaub to Watson is indefensible. That’s not fair. & it’s a shame it has come to this.

They (any defense for that matter) can go through the middle of the Texans line much faster.DW4 has yet to play that defense minus both starting OT's.
That defense is pretty darn good .... if their offense can be a little above average , they probably win the division.
I didn't watch the game but did the titans abandoned the run game or something? Even without their starting OT, Henry still put up good numbersDW4 has yet to play that defense minus both starting OT's.

It’s not so much as giving him a pass. There’s a way to make your point without vilifying Tannehill. It’s not his fault Corrosion thinks he’s the bees knees. So Tannehill is given a pass b/c his starting OT's are out and it's affecting his performance.
He should have thrown to the hot routeDW4 has yet to play that defense minus both starting OT's.

&, it might be safer, to not pour it on too thick if those Colts shut us out for a half.
Tannehill was playing great earlier in the year - Much better than Watson at the time and they were winning games , finding ways to win when they probably shouldn't have.
Now that team is riddled with injuries and the ball isn't bouncing their way.
That Colts defense might be the 2nd best unit the Texans play this year (Steelers ahead of them).
I'm not arguing with you. I'm pleased Tannehill has found a 2nd wind. I love this game because I love the underdog. I love zero to hero stories & I hope Tannehill has a long productive career in the AFCSouth.Tannehill was playing great earlier in the year - Much better than Watson at the time and they were winning games , finding ways to win when they probably shouldn't have
Do you still think he's a good QB? Despite his stats in that game? Now that team is riddled with injuries and the ball isn't bouncing their way.
Going to be a heck of a game to win. We'll probably give up 40That Colts defense might be the 2nd best unit the Texans play this year (Steelers ahead of them).
The quarterback gets the lions share of praise when the team wins and he gets the lions share of blame when the team is losing. That’s just the way it is in the NFL.
I’m not so torn when it comes to Watson. He does some things I love but sometimes he makes me question his decision making process. On balance though, I believe he gives the team a competitive chance against anyone.
The Colts look as though they've gotten much better. Their LB'ers are as fast as advertised. The DB's looked good as well. I really didn't expect the Colts to turn it around this year b/c I had my doubts as to what Rivers would bring. Sadly, as good as the Colts are looking at the moment, I expect the playoff Rivers to show up and disappoint as usual.
So Tannehill is given a pass b/c his starting OT's are out and it's affecting his performance. As for Watson, he's been strappped with one of the worst OL's in the NFL while performing at the level he performs at and it's excuses when fans bring up the lack of the teams OL, running game, and offensive scheme.
But Watson had seen plenty good defenses this year.
And even with a worse Oline and a worst RB situation, he had done better than Tannehill.
Depends on if you think DW4's contributing to the OL issues.
Do you still think he's a good QB? Despite his stats in that game?

First watch today, maybe last watch this year, Watson looks broke. His mechanics are now bad, indecisive, off target, no longer fluid or intimidating.
