"Big WR/TE in supp draft...Midwestern State WR/TE Chris Chatman will reportedly be available to NFL teams at next Tuesday's supplemental draft. According to John Murphy of Draft 2004, Chatman weighed in at 6-4, 239 at a private work at Cerritos College in Norwalk, California. That weight was actually about 7 pounds less than Chatman's playing weight last fall. At his workout, Chatman ran between 4.82 and 4.85 in the 40, a slower time that had been expected; Chatman had reportedly run closer to 4.65 range in the spring of 2003, but that was also at a much lower weight of 225-228 pounds. Chatman actually took part in last January's Las Vegas All-American Classic, but NFL officials subsequently denied his eligibility for the 2004draft. Chatman did not play last fall because he was academically ineligible." (www.gbnreport.com)
