But there will be no championships because of that albatross of a contract.
Yup... that's the reason.

It's not the over the hill David Johnson, it's not the money we paid Tunsil to be worse than Duane Brown, it's not the mediocre WRs we got to replace the only All-Pro WR we had since OB was here. No, it's none of those, it's Watson's contract that's keeping the team from winning the SB.Yup... that's the reason.

Got it.

It's not going to happen with a new HC either.
DC's have figured DW4 out. I've been trying to tell you guys this and every excuse you can think of has been made for DW4's poor play. One thing that hasn't changed is his style of play after DC's figured him out.
You know, the Steelers didn't figure shite out in the first half. Especially on that last drive that gave the Texans the lead. OB is the one who's been figured out and you've never wanted to admit to this. You choose to deflect OB's shortcomings onto Watson....far , far too much. OB shackled his offense in the second half much better than the Steelers defense shut Watson down.
They’ll have a good idea in 2022 what players they need to make things better, 2023 draft will be an opportunity to go after a QB or strengthen the team around Watson.
By 2023, they need to draft a QB regardless...we should know how high by then
So you've joined the excuse making crowd.
Eventually everybody will see the light. A new HC won't matter. Not saying BOB shouldn't be fired. We're in the middle of a lost decade with the 160 million dollar man.
The Sooner they clean house the better.
I hope that 2023 is a good QB draft. If it isn't they shouldn't force a QB pick like they have with Carr/DW4.
Do you really have to ask the question? No, pretty much been involved with the fact seeing crowd. I believe the Texans offense, as a whole, would benefit beyond expectations if a new and improved coaching staff was calling the shots.
Yesterday, against my current theory, Watson drove this team down the field and in position to not only score but tie the game and forcing OT. Watson had a rough go early on but did fight back and delivered the requisite TD pass, then Fuller dropped a fully catchable TD pass.....gameover.
Fuller and the Texans defense lost this game yesterday. How much of this loss are you trying to put on Watson's shoulders?

How one fool can do so much damages. Its all of those things .... And Watson's contract that will have this team cap crippled in the years to come.

You actually think he played well yesterday? The 2 pt conversion wasn't a given either.
Look and see how the top 5 QB's played yesterday/tonight and tell me it you see a difference in accuracy/anticipation/steppimg up into the pocket compared to how DW4's played over the last 9 games.

LMAO. Please do bench Watson! I’m sure Cal and Janice would love to see a McCarron sack-fest behind this joke of an O-line, and borderline retarded play calls. I dare Chin Hole to bench DW4! Come on...do it, slow poke!If O'Brien wants to keep his job, or get another one when he gets fired, he needs to go ahead & bench Watson now.

But who knows, McCarron is his boy.
He might have stated his true inclination right there.
LOL.
LOL.Actually, it sounded to me like he hates McCarron, because if he’s playing he’s going to get murdered out there.
Read what I stated.....he had a rough go at it but did turn it around enough to get the team in a position to score and potentially tie the game. He did get a solid pass off to his WR1 in the endzone and the pass was dropped. Had it been caught, the team would've been a 2 pt conversion away from OT. Yes, they have very good options when it comes to 2 pt conversions.
I think the fact the Vikings didn't have their full compliment of practice/prep time due to their COVID situation played a part in it as well. And their secondary was decimated. I wrote about that last week - you can't lose THAT game to THAT opponent and expect to keep your job if you're Bill O'Brien. The only why he could have kept his job after that loss was if the owners didn't care whatsoever about the team. Which would have also meant that don't care about their own image. Even though they're filthy rich, they have peers too...and they have to meet with them every year. O'Brien had embarrassed them enough, I think, to wake them up and do something.Between 0-4, the defeatist attitudes from players in the post-game interviews, and the inability to get even 13,000 Texans fans to show up, it appears that the McNairs are actually paying attention.
Christmas came early to H-town!

Mangler, kudos to you for your prophetic thread... good call!Same sh1t since 2014. Same trash offense, same stupid personnel decisions, and the exact same mediocrity under this pathetic HC/GM. I’m almost willing to bet my savings that he takes over the play calling, as if his game plan isn’t the one being ran to begin with.
Too bad we don’t have anyone to hold that dumb SOB accountable!
