I live in Houston, so I was unaware that this happened, but apparently CBS showed the final few minutes of the Texans game live coast to coast... kind of.

Rather than showing the game full screen with the announcers, CBS showed the game on a TV Screen in their studios, with the game day crew commenting on the events onfield. Quite a few people at Deadspin (scroll to the last 20 or 30 comments) who were watching were very angry at having to watch someone watch a game, rather than being able to witness NFL records being set live.

They were required by the NFL rules to do this, as they aren't allowed to show a live game after 4:15 ET and compete against FOX or home markets playing a late game. This rule is an insult to the fans, who are forced to miss an amazing finish to a game. Kudos to CBS for finding a way around this asinine rule and finding some way to show the game coast to coast, but the NFL needs to change this pronto.
