This is by far the worst that I've felt about the Texans in 5 years. I fully understand that it's a new coaching staff and a turned over roster and that this is a "rebuilding" year. The problem is that I see the same problems week after week and this team continues to look like an expansion team after 5 years in the NFL.
For the first time ever I am not looking forward to watching a game and am almost fearing it. I just can't imagine sitting through another loss like last weekend, especially to a team like Oakland Raiders. And considering that this team has never won on the Left Coast it's inevitable that it's going to happen again today.
You look around the league and see teams like New Orleans, San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas, etc. which had teams that were considerably worse than Houston a few years ago and are now considerably better. I'm constantly amazed by the mistakes on the field and in the front office to make this organization the laughing stock of the NFL. I'm tired of being embarrassed to be a Texans fan and throwing thousands of dollars away every year on a team that is not entertaining and still plays not to lose football games. I'm sick and tired of seeing David Carr get dozens of chances to prove that he can be a good NFL QB and failing week after week. I'm sick, tired and frustrated by the losses rather they're by 1 point or 20.
Last year was bad... very bad... but at least we had the first pick in the draft and Reggie Bush to look forward to which was exciting at the time. This year we have nothing to look forward to in the offseason other than the hope that we might pick up a few decent free agents and have another good draft. I know it will get better but this is the lowest of lows as a fan.
