The fun has just begun!

While the team lacks consistency, and talent at several positions, it clearly has shown flashes of competitiveness with some of the best teams in the league.

And, Kubes has just begun sorting this deal out.

Predictions:

(1) Our pass rush will continue to improve in the 2nd half of this year. By year end, opposing LT's are going to want to put Mario in a cage.
(2) Glenn Earl, Drob, Simmons and DeMeco will each produce another "snot bubble" highlight this year
(3) Our new management will make some nice FA improvements where possible within our cap. Three guys to watch the rest of this year...you might see them in battle red next year...#55 Chicago/Briggs/LB, #33 SD/Turner/RB, and #22 Patriots/Samuel/CB. All these double number guys would be significant upgrades for us at our weakest links. We won't get them all but any one of them makes us better going into the '07 draft. They are all young (25 or less), uninjured and with their best football ahead of them. They were all 3rd-5th rd picks that will finally make some money as UFA's.
(4) And, we will draft well again (see DeMeco, Mario, and Daniels who I thought was a mistake when we took him for some stupid reason)

The worst (albeit not all) of the nightmare is IMO behind us and the fun has just begun!

Go Texans! :redtowel:

I agree, humbleone. It is only a matter of time before Kubiak has this team performing well on a consistent basis, and once he's got another draft/off-season under his belt, we'll see a lot more talent at certain positions while adding depth at others.

I feel good about our future, and I do not believe it is false hope this time around. :texflag:

CC Brown can also bring the hammer. Anybody else remember that hit he put on Utecht (TE)? Knocked his helmet off. Gave up a first down on that play, but they were playing zone.

The 610 morning guys said it was Glenn Earl, but they were wrong.
