According to todays Chronicle Article by Dale Robertson:
"In Glenn Earl and C.C. Brown, the Texans believe they have one of the NFL's most talented young safety combinations."
Until a few weeks ago, it appeared to be the concensus of this board that safety was probably the weakest area of the whole Texan's team. No one that I can recall has suggested that the Texan's safeties are among the most talented in the league. This is quite a transformation in less than a month.
Of course now that training camp has started and we have some injuries at cornerback, I am sure that many are now concerned about our depth at cornerback instead of safety. Who would have thought that safety might be a strength for us. Maybe we do not need to place a high priority on acquiring a free agent safety, or on drafting one in the off season. This could turn out to be very good news if it is true.
