I am sick and tired of how soft this damn team is. It starts from up top. Bob McNair has not one time given me the feeling that he has an ounce of competitiveness which is shocking considering he is a frigging BILLIONAIRE.
The message from up on top is that merely competing and having an image of being good little Christian boys is more important than actually winning ballgames and achieving anything worth a damn in this League.
Newsflash: Bill Parcells and Bill Belichick are major ASSHOLES. Yet, they are ultimate WINNERS. With the Charmin mindset over at Reliant Park, these 2 guys would not get a sniff. We'll just stick with the crap we have.
It sickens me that there is an excuse for every failure. Last year it was Hurricane Ike (which to me is a ridiculous excuse since we ALL were affected by it)
The media in Houston contributes to this as well. They are pathetic and by and large are mere suckups to those in charge. The Texans get away with a LOT more crap than virtually any NFL city in their hometown. Part of the reason in my mind is that the sports "journalists" in this town do not hold the team's feet to the fire. The sportswriters and newscasters need to ask the tough questions and grill management and football operations alike.
I think Texans fans for the most part have been spectacular and have shown amazing resiliency and dedication in supporting an at best mediocre product. This team has put us through hell. We deserve better.
