Call me crazy but I'm... pretty happy.
I knew we were going to lose these first two games and I figured we'd lose them big.
I knew that it was going to take time for our running game to get together. I thought it was going to be better than it has been so far but I think we started seeing some signs of life with Dayne and Gado.
I'd hoped our defense was going to be a little further along than it is but it's still young and we're still learning a new system. Hopefully, it will look a lot better when it's playing against offenses that aren't so good. I knew that Manning was going light us up like a Christmas tree and I think most of you should have known it, too. So why is everyone freaking out? You had to have seen it coming. Did you expect this defense to go from the worse defense in the league to a top 10 defense? Get real. Even a top 10 defense has problems with the Colts.
My biggest concern was Carr. Was he going to be too shell shocked to be able to perform. Carr's fine and he's going to be fine as long as we don't get him killed. He's got the tools around him now to be very successful although the line is still a problem.
I totally think we're going to beat some teams this year. We should beat the Raiders, Bills, Browns, and sweep the Titans. We might beat the Redskins, Dolphins, Jets... and/or maybe the Patriots. Of course, we HAVE to beat the Cowboys.
I stick by my 5-11 prediction but we could do much better than that.
