To be honest I wouldn't even be thinking that way. I don't think Adams can get an elite like I believe Fisher to be.
I can't see how Fisher is deemed elite by anyone. He's been there forever, and he's won exactly nothing.
That said, I do think he's a good coach. In terms of winning coaches, not quite as good as Marty Schottenheimer, but not as bad as Wade Phillips. And I think it's absurd that anyone thinks a coach that took his team to 13-3 last year suddenly forgot how to coach.
In the end, though, I don't care. I have no hopes to ever see Fisher in Houston, and I don't really care who coaches the Tacks, as long as it results in more losses.
I tend to agree. I like Fisher but...I can't see how Fisher is deemed elite by anyone. He's been there forever, and he's won exactly nothing.

Point taken. I really meant elite by comparison. BTW, how many rings does Marty Schottenheimer have again? (just goofing)

Fisher is the second winningest active coach behind The Hood (Belichick).
That's gotta' say something for the guy.
Considering his owner, I think he's done pretty good under the circumstances.
I'm not saying he's "elite", but there are only a handful of those in NFL history anyway. But I am saying that he's pretty dern good and at the present, better than our current or previous HCs....which, of course, doesn't say much.
If you're somewhere for fifteen years and don't win a championship, you're not going to win one there.
Winning seasons are only so good for so long (see: Marty Schottenheimer, Dan Reeves).
As a Texans fan, no, I'd rather seem him struggle for anotheryear.
If I was a titans fan, i'd be ready for someone new. Those players have totally quit on him
I guess I just don't understand this 'fire the coach' mentality. I guess I never will. But I have to accept it because it's "traditional emotion", and logic doesn't have anything to do with it.
Perfect example: It's been stated and even reiterated, that Fisher, coming off a 13-3, didn't become a bad coach overnight.
OK, so if that's true, what is the case for firing him?
Will someone please explain it to me? I don't get it.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The wife of former Titans general manager Floyd Reese called a Nashville radio station Thursday to blast the team and Jeff Fisher, a day after hearing talk that her husband has hated the coach since losing a power struggle in Tennessee.
**
"He kept Jeff from getting fired two times," Reese said of her husband. "So if he'd let him get fired, he'd still be there. Hello? That's hindsight. ... Sunday I was hoping they'd run it to 100. And I love Tennessee. All you Tennessee people, my dad's from Tennessee, but when you get sucker punched, you want to sucker punch back."

http://www.titanscentral.net/forums/index.php?s=&showtopic=3811&view=findpost&p=74572Ok so I live in Indiana so clearly I get different info and alot about the Colts, but today on our Sports Radio show called JMV the had Melvin Bullet on there. (Defensive player for the Colts.) Anyway they were talking about Colts stuff when JMV said aren't you friends with a few titans? Melvin confirmed and said that he worked out before he was a starter with Finny to get some tips as well as former Colt Nick harper. So JMV asked what had happened with the team. Melvin said that he isn"t 100% sure what all is going on, but Finny confirmed that for what ever reason they have lost respect for Fisher and that they were done playing for him etc. Again he wouldn't say why for obvious reasons, but something big has happened and well find out soon enough.
I don't follow Titans hardly at all anymore but if players quit on a coach, do not perform or do not listen to the coach then 1 of two things have to happen.
1. Get a new coach
or
2. Get rid of the players
That being said, I don't think the loss of their D-Coord or Fat Albert is the reasoning behind their D suffering. Last year's 13-3 record is skewed because there were not alot of quality wins over good teams. They got a good early start but were avg towards the end. But wins are wins and Fisher is a good coach.

Getting rid of the players is a given. Everyone thinks the coach is easier to replace, so they'll fire Fisher, and then the new coach will replace most of the players. So the players are gone anyway. If they have to lose a good coach along the way, well that's good for us, I guess.

Says the dude who started the "The All Encompassing FIRE KUBIAK thread" in the middle of the FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON.
And before you attempt to say that it was some sort of "plan" to preemptive everyone, your initial emotion-based rant said it all.
