Not that this has anything to do with Schaub himself but the same story appeared on the A.P. newswire here and I looked on the right to see a picture of Schaub taking a snap from #65.
Possible position change for Briesel?
That is odd - they even identify him as a center.
Hah. The fact that he has to even say "we need to finish in the 4th quarter" is absurd. Whats next? A Kris Brown statement? "I need to start making my kicks."
Here's yer sign.

It's not just a matter of closing out the 4th strong, they need to learn how to step on their opponent's necks when they have them down earlier in games, too.
from what McFat was saying on the radio, Briesel and Smith have been getting allot of snaps at Center. Dennison loves Smith at Center because he is 310 lbs and has been pursuing him for some time...
Interesting indeed. I wonder if Briesel has a good enough head on his shoulders to be able to handle line calls and all the other responsibilities of a center. Funny how throughout the off season I don't think I've seen any posters here talk about moving Briesel to C (Not that I don't believe anybody has brought the idea up before. Just not talked about a lot).

I wouldn't put a whole lot into it at this point. I think they are just looking at the versatility that the different guys bring to the table. We saw what injuries did to the line last year, and this ios the time to start your contingency planning. We have a pretty good group of guys that can play 2 or 3 positions, and that is a good thing.

Oh.....oh.....thank you Lord!!
Brisel at C is interesting. I think Caldwell put a pretty good stamp on RG and if you think Smith was signed to be a starter (I don't really but play along) the line goes Brown - Smith - Brisel - Caldwell - Winston. That sounds better to me for some reason, I think mostly because Myers/Pitts aren't in but also I think Caldwell is a good player and this hypothetical line contains guys who are all solidly 300-315 pounders. I don't believe either Studdard or Myers can hold that much weight and their strength didn't make up for the lack of size. The OL drafted in the 6th round gets to learn, Butler is a good backup and Maybe Studdard or White get the pink slip....
I noticed that Brisiel worked some at center during last year's training camp.

Looks like Dennison will try to put the best 5 linemen on the field. Which is a good thing.Short review of things I noticed at today's (8/2) open practice:
O-Line - No Pitts. Studdard was the starter at LG. Duane Brown looks muck quicker than a year ago. Rashad Butler got out to the edge very quickly on a sweep and knocked a DB on his can. Didn't notice much from the young linemen, other than Washburn picking up a couple of false starts. There was one play during 11 on 11 nickel where Brisiel lined up at Center, with Myers at RG. Did anyone else see that? I hope there is a photo of this.
Not directed at you. Just my feelings towards the message in the article. Like it takes being a team for 7 seasons to learn that you have to play all 4 quarters...

Kubiak said"He's not a guy that runs a lot, but there's certain coverages that are conducive to a quarterback taking off and running," Kubiak said. "So I think he can learn that. Matt's a sponge. He lives here and just works so hard."
OMFG... I clicked on the link, and I found this.
He wants to turn him into Michael Frkn Vick.
