I liked Sanu, but more because of a lack of knowledge on Posey. I trust the pick, though. Especially if it was enough to convince them to at least explore the possibility of dumping Jacoby.
I have a feeling most people will say Sanu because thats a name weve been hearing as a possibility for some time now. As for the question, I have no idea. I've never seen either of these guys play other than some clips on youtube.
we heard sanu as early as the 1st, he lasted till the 3rd, even another WR was taken immediately after Posey and ahead of Sanu...
Sanu, Marvin Jones, Givens, Hilton, Criner, Childs, Toon, Adams, McNutt, Streeter, Dwight Jones, Wylie, are all receivers I would have had. Half of which would have been reaches, but better than Posey IMO.
The consensus is that Posey was still available only because of his suspension, otherwise had the talent to go a lot higher. I just hope that history of a suspension isn't going to be a problem down the road.
Sanu is a slot receiver and the Texans wanted someone to stretch the field. We can argue about whether Posey will do that. But there's no argument that Sanu wasn't able to stretch the field. He doesn't have that kind od speed and never showed that ability in college.
Sanu was definitely the superior college player. But just not the best fit for the Texans.
