Saints sign Gay

We only have so much money to use, and if we go CB in the 1st it is going to cost us.

We dont have the luxury of overspending at any positions right now.

another story involving the saints.. i made my self 10 bucks this past week... a stupid kid at work bet me 10$ that reggie bush would the the NFL mvp . lol.. i wanted to raise the bet to 100 but he didnt buy it.. lol. but none the less im 10$ richer come next feb. lol

Why do I need to know that the Saints signed a gay guy? Is that a new requirement or something?

I thought they still had Bush anyway. :thinking:

I don't know Randall Gay at all, but if he was cheaper than Reeves..... he can't be any good. Either that, or we got took.

C'mon, you know that the total $ amount on an NFL contract is about as meaningless as a presidentail campagian promise.

That's $17.6M over 4 years ($4.4M/yr) with $7M guaranteed ($1.75M/yr) versus $20M over 5 years ($4M/yr) with $8M guaranteed ($1.6M/yr.)
 
I always get nervous about Ex-Patriots.

They got a great system up there to plug and play guys. They usually don't do much after leaving.

He gave them a home town discount. He is an LSU alum and wanted to be back in state. He would have cost us a little more than Reeves. He is also an ex Patriot, which scares me some. Those guys hardly ever do anything anywhere else.
 
I thought Gay was the strongest guy out there. JMO. Good move on their part.

I got TSM mag the other day...I actually have a free subscription..and they had their Top FAs at each position and then a quick breakdown. Gay was the sleeper.. I believe.. with Samuel being the big guy. Reeves was listed as the hit or miss type guy because he got burned at the end of the season.
