The results have been achieved in the latest sleepwear. Combine results could make a mouse look like a cat. Look at film to determine if he is a football player first, then Combine results second to determine his athletic ability......see if the results run parallel.
Sure. But guys who haven't shown ability to play football didn't get an invite in the first place. All of these guys have produced in college. Some more than others. All of these guys will get a chance to play in the NFL. The combine just helps teams determine who has the best chance. Not the complete picture, but a piece of the puzzle. The results have been achieved in the latest sleepwear. Combine results could make a mouse look like a cat. Case in point, the RB from Temple. Not from a power 5 conference and not as many opportunities as other backs. But the combine gives teams to look at him vs a RB from say Georgia, and ask themselves "What would this guy have done at Georgia?"
He didn't get recruited by Georgia for a reason.
Which may or may not have any relevance to his play 3 or 4 years later.

He didn't get recruited by Georgia for a reason. A RB could look lights out at the Combine but how was his vision when the pads were on and defenses were coming after him? He did that at his level of competition, how does that play out when defenses are faster and bigger? Can his brain process the situation fast enough so he's a Foster and not a Blue.
Walter Payton and Jerry Rice would disagree with this post.
Combine & reports mean way too much to some of us
The combine is a piece of the puzzle. /QUOTE]|
