Greatest RB I never saw play.
Led the NFL in rushing in 8 of his 9 career years. He was an All Pro in 8 of those 9 seasons. Pro Bowl all 9 seasons. He out rushed 11 of the other 13 teams in the NFL by himself in 1963.
The All-Time rushing yards leaderboard in the late 60's:
Jim Brown - 12,312 yards - 9 seasons
Joe Perry - 9,723 yards - 16 seasons
Jim Taylor - 8,597 yards - 10 seasons
John Henry Johnson - 6,803 yards, 13 seasons
Like Babe Ruth in baseball and Wilt Chamberlain in basketball, Brown was doing things far superior to anyone who had ever played the game to that point.
