Watching the game yesterday, the running game got going and Dayne was busting off some nice 8 to 10 yard runs. All of a sudden, Carr ran some play action and wa-la, he had a huge pocket around him and loads of time to throw the ball. And this is with a patchwork OL. Did you see any changes in the run formation that made that work so well?
Another thing I've noticed is this. For an offense that is supposed to establish the run first and foremost, why do they always pass on the first play from scrimmage. And I mean always. First play of every game is a pass.
Oh yeah, on both TD drives we had, 8 rush and 2 pass plays. Now that is a running game.
