Foster isn't Elite? Hmmm...
How dumb. PFF are the same guys that said Chris Myers is one of the best Centers in the game (I swear I read that directly from them). Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but I swear it was PFF.
And obviously Foster is elite.
Doesnt necessarily mean they think Myers is a blue chip. Not many of those to go around, and had Myers behind Unger, Mangold, and Sullivan in 12 rankings, who got the blue chip ratings for centers.
Chris Myers is the best at what he does. The problem is he is not meant to be able to pass-block a large NT by himself....and he can't.
Makes sense. I hear what you're saying. 1 thing though is I'm pretty sure they have Myers ahead of Mangold, which is surprising to me they would give him blue chip and not Myers.

In the positional rankings from 2012, they actually had Mangold a spot ahead. Not saying these guys have it all figured out though.
I can't believe they don't see Cushing as a Blue Chip player.
Thoughts?
Cushing is borderline blue chip at best. He had one year (you know the one he was busted) that was average at best. He had one outstanding. Last year started terrific but he only played roughly 1/4 of the season.
Considering his body of work, I think they have him correct.
Same with Foster. 2010? Yes, elite. Since then, his production has declined each year. Again, based on his total body of work, he's close to elite, but I think he's just outside of that in the upper part of the next tier.
Schaub is over-rated and should be average. Health issues, lack of consistency, and failures when the heat is on leave him average.
Sharpton I would move up one rung. Health has been a major concern, but he's an average player when healthy.
Brandon Brooks is too green to really rate, but I have a feeling that is too low.
Outside of that, I can't quibble too much.
Bigger concern is our starting OLBs are below average. We're going to need to see marked growth from Mercilus and/or cobble together a rotation that is greater than its individual parts.
Brandon Brooks needs to step it up.
And I'm not too keen on being weak up the middle with Mitchell/Sharpton.
Those two HQ corners sure look good, though. Just need to avoid injury bug.
Here are all 32 teams if anyone is interested: http://imgur.com/a/FqUwa
They've got Carson Palmer listed as High Quality but Schaub is only above average.
Both are listed as above average.
Is Max Ungar or Muhammed Wilkerson (blue chips) better than Arian Foster? Are they as good as JJ Watt? Shows how ridiculous it is to rank players in this manner. But, it bides the time and is something to write/read about.
They're rated against their position.
Which makes the whole ranking a big 'so what'. Is an 'elite center as important as an average QB? Is Wilkerson's elite ranking mean he's as good as Watt? It's worthless.
Watt, Cushing, Joseph, Andre, Brown, and Foster are all "blue chips" to me, don't know what the hell they're thinking.
