Last offseason, the secondary was a position of need. This offseason, the need is more urgent, considering that head coach Gary Kubiak has said CB Dunta Robinson will be out until at least midseason because of knee and hamstring injuries. Also, five key defensive backs, all safeties Will Demps, Glenn Earl, Von Hutchins and Jason Simmons (unrestricted) and C.C. Brown (restricted) hit free agency. Demps, a Pro Bowl alternate, and Hutchins, who can also play cornerback, could attract the most interest in free agency. Indeed, the Texans' secondary could look vastly different next season, and reinforcements and/or replacements could come in free agency or the draft. One player not going anywhere is CB Fred Bennett, who likely has locked up a starting role in 2008 after flashing potential as a rookie.

so maybe 2009 for D-rob (somehow when Texans say midseason, that means out for the season) based on history
