Oakland signs 31 year old vet QB Booty

Kind of an odd signing... I wonder if this translates into some sort of advanced move before bringing in someone like Carr.

31 year old veteran... brother of John David who was at USC with new head coach Kiffen... they have Walter, Brooks, and presumably the ability to take Russell or Quinn...

But I wonder if bringin in an aged QB has any bearing on whether Carr is headed there imminently with Brooks on his way out.

I'm pretty sure they already cut Brooks.

They probably draft Johnson, bring in Carr, and have Carr and Walter battle for the starting job.

Brooks was released.
 
Purely a USC hook up here. I suspect they want to use booty as a 'coach on the field' for training camp.
