Our Houston Texans trail the New York Jets 9-3 at the half. Our Texans will start the second half by receiving the football.

We are doing a few nice things in this football game but also doing some things that are hurting ourselves. The following is what I believe our Texans must do in the second half in order to have success and pull out the pretty big win...

-More consistent Special Teams. We had a dropped punt by Chad Stanley and that cost us alot of valuable field position, and in a game this tight that will be crucial in the second half. Kirs Brown did hit a 41 yard GF so that was nice to see, then totally shanked the long one before the half, so we just need special teams to play solid in the second half.

-Reduce Sacks on Carr. He has been sacked 3 times this first half, and I would like to see us clean this up for the second half. These look like they are more on Carr as opposed to the offensive line as he needs to get the ball out even if he's throwing it away. One sack cost us FG range. I look for us to elimate sacks in the second half.

-Reduce Costly Penalties. We have had a couple negative penalties that have moved us back on offense, and even though we have been overcoming them and moving the ball, these can really hurt you in a tight game so we should clean this up in the second half.

By doing the things I metioned above we will have a solid chance to win this football game in New York, obviously a tough task. We're going to see how this football team comes out in the second half, on the road, in a tight game and that will be another true test to see where our football team stands.

    Continue to cheer us on,
