My Keys to Second Half Success: vs. Jacksonville

Our Houston Texans lead the Jacksonville Jaguars 10-3 at halftime. Jacksonville will recieve the ball to begin the second half.

I think our Texans have played a very good first half, but are still making a few mistakes. The following is what I believe our Texans need to do in order to have some more success in the second half and pull out the small upset and big win...

-Play a little cleaner on offense. We have showed alot of good things offensively so far in the first half this game. However, we are having a little difficulty running the ball, not doing a terrible job at it, but certainly a few more bigger run plays would help. Also, Carr is getting some balls knoecked down at the line, but I look for him to clean this up in the second half.

-Continue Solid Defensive Plays. Each week this defense continues to play pretty solid, and the same is holding true the first half this game. We are getting turnovers on defense as well, something very good to see (2 interceptions.) Hopefully we can continue to contain David Garrard, continue to make some keys stops and we have a good chance in this football game.

-Continue to play disciplined. For the most part so far, a pretty clean game from our Texans penality wise. This is crutail on the road. I look for us to stay focused in the second half and not make silly, small penalties that cost us. We have done a good job of playing clean so far.

Hey, if we do those things listed above and continue to play hard in the second half of this football game, we could sweep Jacksonville, and start off the second half of the season with a W, also get some momentum coming home.

Long way to go, but we are playing pretty solid so far, let's see if we can maintain it.

GO TEXANS!!!
