My Keys to Second Half Success: vs. Indianapolis

Our Houston Texans lead the Indianapolis Colts 21-14 at the half. The Colts will recieve the kickoff to begin the second half of play.

Our Texans are doing alot of very good things in the first half of this football game, but are also commiting some mistakes. The following is what I believe our Texans must do in the second half of this football game to have more success and possibly pull out the massive upset, and our first win ever versus Indianapolis...

-Don't give up the big plays to the Colts offense. We have odne a descent job of this so far in the first half, but have given up a few. The Colts first TD pass to Harrison is an example. You can't totally stop these guys, but we need to play to contain, allow the Colts 5-10 yards per play, make them nickel and dime it down the field, this will play into our defense's style with the bend but dont break stragety, and also play into the game's tempo by making their offense burn time when we have the lead and are running the football. More containment in the second half.

-Keep poundin away. I can't say enough about how well we are just running the ball right down their throat today. Ronnie Dayne just continues to explode, and Chris Taylor has made a few very nice plays as well. I really look for us to keep poudin away until they stop it, keep chewin time, keep moving the ball. This is obviously very crutial in the second half.

-Protect the football. I'll say it again. Protect the football. The tight game we are in, the way we are playing offense pounding it away, we can't commit turnovers. We can't do give the ball to this Colts offense. We need to protect the football.

Here we go, its a Christmas Miracle in Reliant. We are playing the best football I think I've seen us play all year. However, we can easily come out flat in the second half and the Colts could run away with it. It's a tight game.

Let's seen what happens, everything's going pretty well right now aside from those few big plays our D has given up.

GO TEXANS!
