It looked like the ball was tipped at the LOS. I couldn't tell who it was but it looked like a Defensive Lineman. Was it Weaver?

If the guy coming across the middle doesn't stumble... they tie the ball game. It was a good play call, and worth a shot at the time! Anyone who calls that a bad play... doesn't know football.

booker had no shot at the ball. the ball was tipped, and even if booker DIDN'T slip, he was still 2 yards from where the ball soared. it was a bad call because ronnie brown isn't a quarterback and it's stupid to put the game in the hands of a RB who's never thrown a pass in the NFL.

No it was a bad play because with the game on the line they put the ball into a RB who has thrown how many passes? Had they asked the big back to run towards the goal line then that is a good play, had they asked the QB to make a throw then that is a good play. But asking the RB to throw with the game on the line and no second chances, IMO a bad play.

And BTW, a good play by Mario to tip the ball.

Culpepper can run. You want a rollout type of play? Roll Culpepper. Did u guys notice that the FB, instead of blocking Brown's backside, went out for a pass. Obviously planned, but at the same time, I dont see how Ronnie could have gotten the ball to him. It almost looked like a HB Toss, FB Screen.

It's only a bad call because it didn't work. If the ball's not tipped, its probably two points. The receiver only fell because he tried to adjust to the changed direction of the pass.

The hero for the Texans on that play was Travis Johnson, if he doesn't get penetration on Brown...he could have hit Booker sooner with the pass. Booker was open the entire play, he should have settled at the back of the endzone, but he kept rolling with Brown because of the pressure from Johnson.

Williams did tip the ball.

I agree why take the ball from Culpepper on the 3 yard line for your RB to throw the ball.

Is there a stat that s kept on lineman regarding tipped balls? Mario probably took 2 pts off the Board on that play.

Amusingly, the heat's starting to hit Saban, who up until Week 1 of this season was the darling of Miami fans and sports media writers, some of whom actually picked the Fish to contend for the Super Bowl(!!!).

Over at FinHeaven, "Fire Saban" threads are popping up. At least we know it's not just this MB that does stuff like that!
