and don't address our OLine with more than a 2nd and 4th round pick, he is going to get killed next year. Think about this, Vince is used to running a lot, so he's going to be scrambling around and trying to take off running more than he should as he adjusts to the NFL game, and our OLine this year showed that they can't protect a QB for anything, but look at the defenses and pass rushers we get to play next year:
Colts twice (11th ranked defense, 46 team sacks - Dwight Freeney 11, Robert Mathis 11.5)
Jacksonville twice (6th ranked defense, 47 team sacks)
Tennessee twice (19th ranked defense, 41 team sacks - Kyle Vanden Bosch 12.5)
Oakland once (27th ranked defense, 36 team sacks - Derrick Burgess 16)
NY Giants once (24th ranked defense, 41 team sacks - Michael Strahan 11.5. Osi Umenyiora 14.5
Philadelphia once (23rd ranked defense, 29 team sacks - Jevon Kearse)
Dalllas once (10th ranked defense, 37 team sacks)
Washington once (9th ranked defense, 37 team sacks)
New England once (26th ranked defense, 33 team sacks)
NY Jets once (12th ranked defense, 30 team sacks - John Abraham 10.5)
Buffalo once (29th ranked defense 38 team sacks - Aaron Schobel 12)
Miami once (18th ranked defense, 49 team sacks - Jason Taylor 12, Kevin Carter)
Cleveland once (16th ranked defense, 23 team sacks)
In the league as a whole, sacks are up this year and blitzing schemes are becoming more difficult for offenses to pick up, and obviously our line was terrible at it this year. If we bring in a rookie QB who is going to look to scramble around even more and is going to spend half the year adjusting to the speed of the game while not boosting our OLine with anything better than a 2nd and 3rd or 4th round pick, then he is going to get killed and will turn into the same thing that David Carr has been this year, with a much weaker arm and less accurate throw.
