Since you mentioned it, it would have been sweet if it were against the Steelers. The "Holy Roller" would have countered the "Immaculate Reception" and, like the third game of a series in baseball, there would have had to be a rubber devine intervention.

I think I need to go to bed.....this time I'd better sleep. :foottap:
 
That rule already exists, but it only applies on 4th down, and the last two minutes of each half, and even then, it never applies to the player who fumbled the ball.

I wasn't aware of this. It'd be nice if it applied to all players on all downs.

I thought they already had a similar rule. When that receiver regained possession I thought it should have been a dead ball where he recovered it... but the refs didn't say anything & it turned into another turnover in our favor... so I kinda let it go.

I'm not sure myself, but I don't think it's good for competition when a team can advance by their own mistakes. And fans shouldn't want the tide turned by Benny Hill plays.
