ESPN radio was just reporting that Kubiak is experimenting with Rosenfels
as a holder. This is a question I've brought up in years past....why not have one of backup QB's hold for ST's? It introduces just one more "unknown" for the opposing D, and very well may open up options here-to-for not known to the Texans and Texans fans. There IS an advantage to having a QB in on EVERY play (other than on receiving punts and kickoffs, of course).

Non-traditional: Normally, back up quarterbacks have a second job as a holder in special teams. The Texans have designated punter Chad Stanley as a holder instead of Sage Rosenfels.
One of the reasons I think you see punters being holders is that those two guys can be together all day long, Kubiak said. The quarterback has to go to various other drills and do other things. They have all day just to work on their craft and do what they do; I think thats why they stay complacent. (QB) Sage (Rosenfels) will be able to hold, and give him a rest if hes doing something else. Were at this stage in camp right now where were doing a lot of stuff like that, experimenting.
