Especially when your name happens to be Jim Rome. I have never seen a bigger flip flopper htan when Rome just demonstrated on his show. He closed off talking about Vince Young and saying, "How did that taste Texans fans?" Then he said about how none of hte concerns for Young coming mattered and he always knew that. This coming from the same guy who DID make a huge deal over the IQ test, and DID make a huge deal over the delivery, and DID advocate the picking of Matt over Vince back in the draft.
Seriously though I would probably be banned if I used some of the words I wanted to right now after seeing that. I've always hated Rome and I know ESPN is just looking for any excuse to say that we suck and Mario is trash, but what Rome just did was totally uncalled for. He trashed the fans, the organization, and the state. "How do they miss so badly on the chance for Vince? or Reggie? or Matt? or any of the other big players. Oh but it's okay becuase Mario had 3 tackles that game, that's what I'd expect from a number 1 pick too." It seriously made me sick to my stomach. Sorry if this is the wrong place to put this, but it was one of the worst things I've seen on ESPN since the draft.
I know that most anaylsits at ESPN just look for ways to insult Houston either as a team or how they drafted, but they over look the rest of our draft and the fac that Mario is hurt. I know they aren't expected to know everything and formulate an oppinion that way, that would be fair. But Rome sounded like he just watches ESPN and judges solely from the coverage they give. Trash reciteing trash = Moronic babbling.
