I know you all have been desperately awaiting my take on the game/team. Unfortunately, I was in Knoxville, TN on business, missed the first 20 minutes of the game and had to watch the balance at Hooters, so I was somewhat distracted :doot:

WR - Grade=B+. Looking better than we expected. Appear to be 4 deep with AJ, KW, JJ, and AD.

TE - Grade=A. Daniels and Putzier look really good.

Oline - Grade=B. Overall this unit is surprising me with the quality of their play. Still not in the top 10-12 lines, but improving.

QB - Grade = B+. I was vocal about my pessimism of the Schaub trade (I wanted them to draft Kolb, which would have been good, too) and I admit I was wrong. Looks like he can become a star QB.

RB - Grade=B. I really like Green and Gado. Dayne just doesn't get me excited but, he's a serviceable backup. Sure could use Chris Taylor's speed off the bench.

DLine - Grade=B. One of their better games. Stuffed the run surprisingly well. Pass rush was adequate. Cochran and Travis Johnson did well again. Mario and Omobi were actually caught on camera making plays! Mario appears to be more effective at LDE. They cut Thomas Johnson and they seemed to never like the guy, but he always seemed to make plays when he was allowed in the game. Didn't notice Babin in the game.

MLB - Grade=C+. Didn't really notice anything too positive or negative.

    OLB - Grade=C+. Definitely improved over 1st 2 games.

CB - Grade=C. Improving but, not there yet. Bennett just looked silly trying to make a tackle.

S - Grade=C-. Improved but, not where we need them to be.

ST - Grade=B+. Looking like a strong point of the team.

Coaching - Grade=A. Good job overall.

Still concerned that the oline will hold up over the whole season but, the youngsters give reason for hope and improvement.

This game certainly fosters reason for cautious optimism and I'm going to now say we can win 7-9 games this year.

Okay that's my take on it, what's yours?
