On Sunday, October 15th at 12:00 pm central time, The Houston Texans will take on the Cleveland Browns at home in NRG Stadium. The game will be aired locally in Houston on CBS channel 11.
In the last 3 games, the Texans offense led by Deshaun Watson has amassed 124 points and 1254 total yards and yet has only won 1 of those 3 games. The offense has absolutely come alive under Deshaun Watson. The defense, however, has given up 82 points and 1041 total yards. Considering the differential, it seems the Texans should have won at least 2 if not all 3 of those games.
The reality is that the Texans lost to the Patriots and Chiefs and the lone victory was to the Titans who only accounted for 14 of the total points and 195 of the total yards against the Texans defense.
The rest of those numbers were consumed by the 2 teams that beat our Texans, the 2 best teams in the AFC.
I know it sucks to lose, but this should give us as fans confidence. The Texans offense looks better then it ever has. The defense is having problems, but should improve as the season goes along.
Losing Watt and Mercilus is a really tough blow, but it's time for others to step up.
This game should be a huge confidence booster.
The Cleveland Browns.
They are bad all over the field. Offense, defense and special teams.
The Texans should have a field day against this Browns team.
Deshaun and his offense, Clowney and his defense should just run over the Browns with little resistance.
I'm smelling a huge blow out here.
I would be completely surprised if Watson and the offense didn't score on almost every drive.
Even without Watt and Mercilus, the defense should be able to completely shut down the Browns offense. By the way, DeShone Kizer was pulled from the game against the Jets because of poor play and now it might be Kevin Hogan that has to face our Texans.
Ok. This is going to be a Romp.
It's hard to predict just how bad it'll be for the Browns, so I'll try and be conservative.
