Agree 100%. There were no excuses for sure last year. And last year RAC had Clowney and badger and defense still couldn’t deliver when it mattered.

I'm not as angry as everyone else in regards to the challenge. I was happy BOB took a timeout so they had time to check the replay and make sure they wanted to challenge. It looked very close, and in real time, I thought Nuk had the first. 610 explained this morning that the guys in the Texans booth are simply watching the broadcast, they do NOT have access to any additional video (unsure if this is true or not). For some reason, the broadcast didn't do a replay on that play, so the booth didn't have any additional info on the play... therefore they just went ahead and challenged.
KD, heard anything about Watson's lower back ?
bruised butt

The #Texans are signing QB Alex McGough to the active roster, source said. This was in the works before Deshaun Watson bruised his butt last night. #Jaguars were interested in bringing McGough back after Nick Foles injury. Instead, a promotion from practice squad in Houston.
Right now, I am leaning toward the positive. Of course, there is this nagging voice in the back of my mind softly saying BOB... BOB...
So what you are saying is Watson is butt hurt from last nights game.
They did a replay right away on the television broadcast but it wasn't at a good angle to see if the spot was correct.
Look at TK with the STAFF MEMBER badge!! I was wondering how I could see your posts while blocked. Lol. Okay now keep it 100 and no lube and sodomy jokes!
I follow TT.com rules, not Uncle Rico rules. But I'll try.
I don’t know why but I figured you’d be one of the rebels. Well good luck in your new role.

OB sticking it to the Jags...bruised butt

Please allow me to clear the air about “depressing”...I can understand that more than the people are "depressed"
Angry I get. But not depressed. It's one game.
I want to see them play at that level next week & I want them to beat the Chargers after that.
If not, then maybe I'll be depressed.
Kinda saying the same thing. I'm anxious to see how they build off this game. You're already seeing it as if they're the same team from that 2-14 team.
We should decimate the Jags next week. Let's see how that goes.
Like I said before , I expect typical Texans …. beat up on the weak sisters and get exposed by the better teams.
Same thing we've seen for the last decade+.
See I don’t see it as getting exposed. Again we forced it to come down to a field goal with less than 30 seconds against the one guy that might can stand toe to toe against Brady in his house which is legendary for being so hostile to visiting teams. Yeah some stupid stuff happened but we still played if not on Saints level then close enough to make them work for it.
Semantics.
Bottom line is that the result was as expected against a top quality opponent - a mark in the L column.
They are gonna have to beat some quality opponents to change my expectations going into those games against quality opponents.
That’s fair but at least they weren’t completely destroyed like some predicted.

RAC coached not to lose in the 2nd half until the last play......when he coached to lose.
Speak for yourself. Also is it really necessary to curse? Being that your response was so limited you must not have much between the ears.
Romeo Romeo wherefore art thou defense Romeo
damn we could've finally beaten a top tier team to send notice. I'm glad the Texans played well. I'm glad it was a very entertaining game. But I don't just watch them to play well or be entertained. I want to watch them win.
Next week we'll likely beat the jags. BFD. Been there done that. Beat the better teams for the love of god!!!!!!!!!!
They haven't had enough talent to beat playoff teams.
Sad but True
When will they?
When do you think they wont have guys like V. Smith/Carter/Davenport/Kelemete etc.... starting a playoff game and I will try to tell you.
I don't think it will be anytime soon without first round picks and capspace
You know a guy like Stills was a 5th rd pick.
Reid was a 3rd rd pick
It can be done.
I'm predicting a close game, but unfortunately a loss. Something similar to the Eagles game last year.
After the game, no one's minds will be altered. The optimist will praise, "See! We almost beat the Saints at their home!" The pessimist will argue, "No matter what, this team will find a way to lose the big games."
- We'll go into this game thinking an inevitable loss
- But wait, a ray of hope...
- This new offense, may be legit with an OL that actually looks average.
- Mercilus has a multi-sack game... Clowney who?
- The Texans actually have a lead going into the 4th
- But then dumb mistakes in the end will allow the Saints to take this one back. It will be a combination of someone making a bone-headed penalty, and BOB having a classic "WTF" moment.
Lather, rinse, repeat.

This year? If guys stay healthy, none of those guys will be starting come playoffs.
And stills is on his third team. How often do you think these picks hit?
Your point is?
Can the guy play?
You do know why he's on his 3rd team? Probably not
The point is you can't count on low round picks to pan out
That's the point
No, but you can find talent if you work hard. This is THE point. I know fans around here aren't used to seeing players that are talented outside of the 1st rd under the RS regime. But it can be done.
Also they finally found a guy to protect Watson's blindside.

Huh? I'm so confused. You were saying they don't have enough talent to beat playoff teams. Are you now saying they do?
And the wannabe TT gm's castigated them for it.
Texans management has done a 180 in their modus operandi and some on here are still whining.
I approve. No more automatic contract renewals, earn it or move on. "Here's your apple and roadmap"
Goes for you too OBrien.
Not too sure who it is but there is definitely a new sheriff in town.
I'm saying they are talented enough but need experience. They are in yr 2 of a 3 yr rebuild.
They aren't working hard. They are trading and over paying with future assets in lieu of working hard.
O'Brien even said so
Don't you mean year 6 of a 3 year rebuild ??
Or do the years before Watson not count ?
Eh , it was a hard trade to take on a couple levels.
#1 they just spent their first round pick on a guy who was supposed to be …. that guy. Some of us called it a reach then and that's pretty obvious now.
#2 the cost was out of this world. That was damn near Hershel Walker territory (two first-round picks, three second-round picks and a third-round selection.)
#3 They didn't negotiate an extension as part of the trade and that's the biggest issue I have with the deal. I can accept the cost for a good player at a position of dire need even if it was an overpay - I cant accept not locking him in long term when it cost you that much draft capital.
They gave up two 1sts for a stud young LT. Hardly overpaying. The hard work is finding gems like Reid/Stills/Coutee in the 3rd or later. You would know this if you would take off your BOB hate filled glasses.
