Ogunbowale might make the roster now if Foreman faces suspension.
He WILL be suspended...............he didn't bother getting a license for the gun.Lol
Foreman isn't going to be suspended
Squeaky clean image we have huh
He WILL be suspended...............he didn't bother getting a license for the gun.
Wouldn't matter if he had a CHL, at least from my understanding. You are allowed to have a weapon in your car, but the weapon charge happens as soon as you break another law. So DUI, or drugs in the car at the same time means you are also getting a weapons charge, CHL or not.
Don't they have to wait until the legal system takes its course before they can take disciplinary action anyways?
Its just pot...not like he was high on crack. I would guess well over 50% of NFL players smoke. I concede the unregistered gun is not too bright
The Texas Motorist Protection Act allows a person who does not have a CHL to possess a concealed handgun in a motor vehicle. Therefore, it appears that he had no license for the gun at all.You can get suspended for a 1st time offense?
Gun laws in Texas are less restrictive than in many states. Texas doesn't require you to register your gun or to purchase a permit to buy or possess a gun. If you want to carry your handgun around with you, that's a different story. If you want to have your gun on or about you –but not visible to the public – you need to get a concealed handgun license.
Aaaand that further makes me feel that liineman should have been the pick at 3. Stupid wannabe thugs make me sick.
How is he a "wannabe thug"?
Of course it should be but anyways how is that relevant here, and what 10 days out from the start of TC ? Very disappointing. We still have the least arrests in the league since 2002.. this is a anomaly on this team compared to the rest of the league.
Weed should be legal anyways. JMO
So "the smell of marijuana" will get a visit from the police at UT? I'm stunned. The officers “responded to a report of the smell of marijuana coming from three occupied vehicles near the southwest side of San Jacinto residence hall on campus,” the statement read. “Officers arrived on the scene discovered marijuana in each vehicle and also discovered a firearm in one of them.
remember me posting on this? It was left tackle Alabama star Cam Robinson arrested in May 2016 for very similar charges (Foreman was on campus)that were dropped. The arresting officer’s probable cause affidavit reads in part:
As I approached the vehicle I detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. I also found the front seat passenger, Laurence Jones had a handgun laying on his lap. After all suspects were removed from the vehicle, I found a bag of marijuana, in plain view laying on the front driver’s floorboard and a stolen handgun under the seat.
They were born without brains. Why are people so damn stupid...
He WILL be suspended...............he didn't bother getting a license for the gun.
We're in Texas... No "license" necessary.
Well, if his attorney's statement is correct. The gun wasn't on his person, it was properly stowed in the vehicle.

I don't think it's that big of a deal either, but we can count on the sanctimonious Texans organization to cut him. There goes another Emmitt Smith. That's why it's worthy of discussion. The drugs with the gun is no Bueno.
I don't think this is a huge deal though in the grand scheme of his career unless he doesn't mature and learn from it.
Officers may not have searched his vehicle if there weren't three vehicles there.
It's amazing how definitive some can get on so little info...
So little real info and some are so convinced they know the facts
From the original link ....
Former Texas running back D’Onta Forman was taken into custody about 3 a.m. Sunday and charged with marijuana possession of two ounces or less and unlawful carrying of a weapon, according to jail records.
From NFL. com 9 hours ago ....
Texans rookie running back D'Onta Foreman was arrested for unlawful carrying of weapons and possession of marijuana on Sunday, according to the University of Texas Police Department.
Facts are our new runningback was arrested at 3am with a significant amount of pot and a visable handgun. Do the when, why and how really matter? That's very stupid for a kid who just signed into the NFL - I'm not a fan of stupid players. While marijuana is (finally) getting a lot of leeway thanks to sheriffs, judges and other officials - it's still actually illegal. Heck it's actually still illegal everywhere - last I checked there were a few national laws that trump what states have decided (which is bogus to me, but a very different discussion). Dude seems to have taken Cris Carter's advice with fall guys, but it takes a special kinds of stupid to get arrested like this within a month of signing a multi-million dollar contract.
