We aren't picking Vince Young.

Amen, NO VINCE YOUNG. I doubt he comes out and if he does we will not pick him, period. The rest of this mock draft is not very good either.

Just keeping it in the first round, I don't see these teams making these picks at all. We will not draft Vince Young, Baltimore needs to help its offense, not draft another DE, Philadelphia will likely pick the best available WR since they are losing Owens, Atlanta and Pittsburgh are probably the last two teams in the NFL that would need to draft a RB, along with Denver.

great effort, unfortunatly the entire mock is not very good at all. it seems as if little homework was done into team needs, especially our own. :brickwall

I don't know. I had this crazy feeling when I saw Young holding up that Big 12 Championship trophy in our stadium.

Mcnair is going to have to give the fans a reason to come back next year. Although I am sure they don't want QB contreversies and the city of Houston is notorious for that. Let Carr screw up once and everyone will be screaming for Young. Heck, everyone wants to see Banks in now. But I think it would only do two things: 1) Bring out the best in Carr or 2) Allow the franchise to finally come to terms that Carr is not the answer to our problems.

I've got an answer to that...Two words. Reggie Bush.

I'm not a "VY hater" but the last thing I want McNair doing is telling the GM (whoever it may be) who they need to draft to make some local fans happy for more $$$. Want to see a franchise crash and burn? Before long we'd be known as the Hindenberg Texans - How would you like to see this on the side of the helmets?

I don't think we need to draft a certain player in order to appease the fans and keep them coming to games. All we need to do is exhibit some sort of competence in personnel decisions and show that the team is heading in the right direction. In my mind drafting Vince Young shows that we are continuing down the regression path.

I totally agree with you but there is NO WAY IN HELL that you could pass on Young if he was still there at that position....but I think he will stick to his word and promise to stay and finish school so I seriously doubt he comes out...or atleast I hope he doesnt come out...it seems like the Longhorns are the only football we can hang some serious hopes on at the moment.

I could easily pass on Vince Young because we don't need another QB and we definitely don't need one that is going to probably take two years to get accustomed to the NFL and become a decent NFL QB. I would have a much harder time passing on Reggie Bush, although at the moment I don't think he would be the best pick for us either.

I could pass on him. D'Brickinshaw Ferguson is still on the board.

Nice job stealing a mock from someone on the NFLDraftCountdown forum and passing it off as your own since you changed the Texans picks...Looks like it's time to head back to the drawing board there, slugger...
