I was going to ask about this. You guys have experience with him. Should Packer fans want him as the new DC?
As a DC of a 3-4 defense he was top notch in Pittsburgh I think and was pretty much the architect of the zone blitz scheme.. IIRC, the Pack runs a 4-3, so unless they are going to change I doubt he would be a good selection.

Whoa! Dick LeBeau is the architect of the zone blitz. I like Dom as a DC, but nobody, and I mean nobody, is better than LeBeau!
in 2006, Saban was in charge of the defense. after Saban left, Capers was given full responsibility for the defense, and they became the absolutely worst defense Miami has ever had.Capers has had success everywhere he's been as a DC. That includes Miami - his first stop after being fired as Texans HC. In his first year there (2006), the Dolphins D finished 4th in the league in yards allowed, after finishing 18th the year before. Admittedly, things went south in '07, but I think when you look at Saban leaving, and Cam Cameron taking over, Capers really wasn't the problem.

Packers hire Capers to run defense
The Green Bay Packers have beaten the New York Giants and perhaps two or three other teams to hire Dom Capers as their defensive coordinator.
Packers talk about Season
McCarthy said the team will switch from a 4-3 defense, which utilizes four down linemen and three linebackers, to Capers' specialty, the 3-4 defense, which uses three linemen and four linebackers.
