I didn't see him much. Just 21 rec for 210 yds but 7 TDs. Horrific catch %, that's on 58 targets so 36%. For reference Fuller caught 71% & DHop also 71%.
Kick this guy's tires, and he's going right back on the DL. In that way, I guess his skill set is similar to Fuller's.Wouldn't be surprised to see Belicheck kick the tires.

Never heard of this guy. It says he missed pretty much the entire rookie season due to injury. He's a blazer at a 4.22 speed apparently. I agree on the numbers assessment, but not sure what his problems seemed to be. My guess is that he's got sloppy hands, but when he gets a long ball he takes it to the house.
Wouldn't be surprised to see Belicheck kick the tires. He is notorious for trading late picks and trash for 1st round busts and underperforming players who don't fit in well with their first teams. Wouldn't be all that bad for the Texans either I think, because I doubt they want much for this guy. Similar skillset to Fuller.
Here is his draft profile from nfl.com (Lance Zierlein). Limited experience, injuries to shoulder & both knees, 23 TDs on 112 touches in college.
A 3rd??? There will be better WRs available in the 3rd. Not to mention other positions. I doubt the Bengals get a 5th.I would give up a 3rd for him since he's still on his rookie deal.
If you want a burner for our 5th, Parris Campbell will likely be there for us, plus he doesn't have an injury history but did miss one game for a "head injury".A 3rd??? There will be better WRs available in the 3rd. Not to mention other positions. I doubt the Bengals get a 5th.
Dalton got hurt last yr.

pass, i mean the bengals are trying to trade him.

You would while Fuller is still in our plans ?He was injured his 1st yr.

He's very similar to Fuller and is very good in the RZ.
I would give up a 3rd for him since he's still on his rookie deal.
I still like Ross and think he would be a perfect fit for this offense.
I think he's got more potential than any WR that could be drafted late in the 3rd rd. The talent that got him drafted #9 is still there.

Yes, I see Ross and Fuller in the same light.
Very talented and unproven.
Yeah, but did you watch him in college or on the Bengals? I don't think a high draft pick from two years ago should constitute that much confidence on that alone. Not saying he can't play either, again I've never seen him. I do think a 3rd rounder is to high though. I think a 5th rounder is sufficient.
The team could also cut him, but if they were to go that route, they'd be left with a dead cap hit of just over $10 million, which is likely why they're trying to pull off a trade.
Well this is ignorant. They take the same cap hit in a trade.
If they trade him before June 1, they only lose $626M + $5.3M dead money

June 1st only makes a difference for cuts, not trades. Even then it only lets a team distribute dead money. It doesn't change the total.
Only $626M + $5.3M???
sorry, that should have been $626K
At a minimum, trade or cut, the Bengals are on the hook for 2 years of prorated signing bonus which has not yet gone on their cap. That's $5.292 mil.
Here's the unknown. His contract was fully guaranteed at signing. So the key fact neither OTC or Spotrac state is whether there is offset language. If not there is a big trade v cut distinction. Trade the new team takes on the guaranteed salaries. Cut the Bengals would have to pay those salaries on top of his new contract. Even if there is offset language he isn't going to offset all of it if cut. It's not a dead money issue. It's an actual new dollars out the door issue.
Yes exactly we still have Fuller under his rookie contract so in view of all of our other needs that's why I'd be reluctant to commit a 3rd round pick to a player who's very much like one already on our roster.Yes, I see Ross and Fuller in the same light.

Until steelb wrests the GM job from Gaine, the 3rd round pick is safe.Yes exactly we still have Fuller under his rookie contract so in view of all of our other needs that's why I'd be reluctant to commit a 3rd round pick to a player who's very much like one already on our roster.
