"The Philadelphia Eagles have reached an agreement in principle on a six-year contract extension with tight end Brent Celek, league sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter on Tuesday.
The deal is worth $33 million, with $11 million guaranteed, a league source told ESPN.com's Matt Mosley."

This would have been nice to see with some of our young guys like Meco and OD. Get them in their third year during the season and be done with it for 5-6 years. Good contract for the player who is on a rookie contract for another couple years and its good for the team who doesn't have to pay top dollar when these young guys really reach their prime. Only downside is that a lot of Philly players get pissed before their first contract extension ends because all of a sudden they are going to be underpaid for about 3 years.
