Houston RB Arian Foster gifted each of his offensive linemen with a Segway personal transporter on Wednesday. The lineman squealed with delight when they discovered their presents, and learned how to ride them with help from Foster, who has had one for a while. “I can’t do anything without them,” Foster said of Houston’s linemen. “It was just my way of giving back to the big fellas.”

I'd like to see the lineman all line up on them with Foster behind them and go racing up the field at Relient. LOL

Kind of reminds me of Eddie George back in the day.

Every game he rushed for 100 yds he would take his entire line out that week for a steak dinner at a fancy restaurant. If he eclipsed 1,000 yds in the season, he bought them all rolex's. I think the relationship and appreciation between a RB and his line should never be underrated. Even though segways are kind of gay, I still like the gesture.

Arian's a cool dude.

Pulling a Mercilus on us. Not cool man...

Arian Foster rewarded each of the Houston Texans' offensive lineman with a unique gift for paving the way to his third consecutive 1,000-yard season.

The star running back gifted each of his offensive linemen with a Segway personal transporter on Wednesday.

The linemen screamed with delight when they discovered their presents and learned how to ride them with help from Foster, who has had one for a while.

"I can't do anything without them," Foster said of Houston's linemen. "It was just my way of giving back to the big fellas."

Foster said the Texans' offensive linemen were always getting on his case about him riding his Segway.

"I feel like all of them big hogs up front can enjoy the joy that I get from riding my Segway," Foster said, according to the Houston Chronicle. "Guys like Chris Myers and (Duane) Brown and Wade Smith, they're always getting on me about riding my Segway. 'You can't walk? You're too good to walk?'

"I was like, 'No, man. I would just rather ride wheels.' I saw a little jealousy in their eyes when they were talking about me, so I figured I'd get all the linemen a gift."

Foster, who has 1,313 yards this season, leads the NFL with 14 rushing touchdowns.

Im a stick in the mud I know but Id rather not have our O line zooming around on Segways hell the company's ceo went off a cliff on one and died. Should have given them some bling instead

Might be part of the reason Eddie is broke

It's a nice gesture by Foster, but I would think those guys need to have their feet on the ground running, don't cha think?:ahhaha:

Why do I have this feeling that there will be some "underground" Segway obstacle course races going on at Reliant...with 300+ lb. Texans linemen trading paint around the concourses at Reliant?

Mario's street racing cannot hold a candle to the awesomeness of Segway Battle Races. :fostering:

I like it, as it is something unique.

Buying them watches is tired and the equivalent of buying your dad a tie on Fathers Day. Easy and no thought put into it.

This would make for awesome halftime entertainment.

Wow, the guys are going to look sooooo awesome on their new Segways while wearing their letterman jackets!

lol...

Save the sillyness until after season.

Not really directed to you but to all those being critical - these people are people, not some mystical form of Tibetan Football Monks. They have lives. Bitching about them having camaraderie seems foolish to me. What next, complaining that Schaub takes the OL out for steak and lobster with drinking because that isn't the healthiest diet? By the way, a lot of the players go out clubbing. The WR's are out almost every Thursday night including AJ.

This is picking imaginary nits.

That's part of the problem right there. He needs to take Arian & force a steak down his throat.

Totally concur. Besides, this is about Arian doing something unique for his teammates. Get over yourselves. This ain't about us.

You were saying?

Meh, I agree with infantrycak, but I will say that it kind of looked like they were playing on Segways out there at times today.
