Definitely a guy that has been one of my favorite LB'ers in this draft. I wouldn't mind him at all at #127 for us.What about this guy? https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Cedric-Gray-LB-NorthCarolina
Just went at pick 100What do you all think of WR Luke McCaffrey as a later draft pick or unsigned FA? https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nf...o-know-of-2024-nfl-draft-prospect/ar-AA1nHUOA
Figures......... I saw him picked about where he was picked but all the draft simulators has had him in the mid to late sixth round.Just went at pick 100

I mocked him to us 3 times at 86. Oh glorious days. Now sign Simmons to mentor him.
I would have. He tore it up at the Senior Bowl. Unless we’re talking about a different WilsonSteelers roll the dice on Wilson
Steelers got them both but it was Roman that tore it up from the WR positionI would have. He tore it up at the Senior Bowl. Unless we’re talking about a different Wilson
No, you’re not misremembering. He basically announced it would be a future depth draft when he said they could put a team together ready to go before the draft. He’s not reaching for need because he doesn’t think he has any real needs.Didn’t Nick say in an interview that most of the picks this year won’t be starting? Or maybe I’m misremembering something.
I still don't understand the purpose of mock drafts or the whining that happens on draft days. People spend weeks even months trying to predict the players that will be selected by teams and even though they have no idea what a team is planning, they still get upset when the team doesn't select the players they expected or want the team to draft.Remind me to never listen to Stoots and Landry’s podcast on draft day ever again. I never saw a couple of whiny crybabies in all my life.
On draft day you have trades or unexpected selections and weeks or months of mock drafts are worthless within minutes of the draft. What is the success rate of mock drafts? 30%?I have tons of player info to trash.. internet files and hard copy..sigh. It all begins again soon as college football around the corner.
Not only that, but the team has access to so much more info than the fans ever will (medical, interviews, GPS data for their practices and games, etc).I still don't understand the purpose of mock drafts or the whining that happens on draft days. Part of the fun of this is seeing how the guys you like turn out vs how the guys they drafted turn out.Not only that, but the team has access to so much more info than the fans ever will (medical, interviews, GPS data for their practices and games, etc).
Fans get way too invested in their own options this time of year
For sure, but some people get way too invested in being “right” and get upset when their gems doesn’t follow their less informed opinionsPart of the fun of this is seeing how the guys you like turn out vs how the guys they drafted turn out.
So far I've enjoyed our draft although I wanted Junior Colson so bad it's heart breaking they didn't apparently value him much. Still quite a few guys out there that I could see doing well for us:
Jordan Magee (LB)
Leonard Taylor III (DT)
Bucky Irving (RB)
Mo Kamara (EDGE)
Johnny Wilson (WR)
Can't wait to see if Caserio has some more magic moves to pull off. Would definitely like to see DT and LB get addressed. Slot receiver could still be an interesting pickup too. RB depth and development is needed imo and that 4th edge for the rotation with Anderson, Hunter, and Barnett has an opening there too.
I wouldn’t bother converting him, just run him out there as a big slot.Would I be the only person who thinks WR- Johnny Wilson (FL State) could be converted to TE? At 6-6 / 231 pounds and 35 3/8” arms…..he could be a heck of a mismatch and big target for CJ.

I want a TE who can block and I don’t think that will ever be a part of Wilson’s game

I would never want a TE to take on a DE/OLB one on one, but I want one who can combo block and wipe out blitzing LBs and I don’t think Wilson can do that.TE’s shouldn’t be expected to lineup like an OT and take on DE’s like that was their only job. I believe TE’s must learn how to deliver a nasty chip as they exit the line and find a soft spot in the defense as well as blocking downfield in the run game.
I prefer prospects that have lower drop percentages. Yes you can try to convert him, but all I see is a player that doesn’t have the best hands.Would I be the only person who thinks WR- Johnny Wilson (FL State) could be converted to TE? No, it gets talked about often. I personally just think he's a big slot.Would I be the only person who thinks WR- Johnny Wilson (FL State) could be converted to TE? At 6-6 / 231 pounds and 35 3/8” arms…..he could be a heck of a mismatch and big target for CJ.
Ray Davis is one of the most developed, in this draft, in all three run, pass, block.I think we need to look at an RB that’s decent in pass protection. Mixon wasn’t used in pass pro in CIN.
Which RBs do you think meet this fit?
So far I have:
T. Tracy
I. Guerrendo
K. Vidal
That’s one of our biggest needs!Let's take a DT in the fourth and hope that he's a draft sleeper. (Fine with moving up)
I hope they snag Cedric Gray LB first. Here we go fellers, day three begins! I’m hoping for a DT, RB, LB.
Cha- ching. Some interesting names still on the board:-
Troy Franklin
JaTavion Sanders
Jaylin Wright
Austin Booker Ed
DJ James CB
Jeremiah Trotter LB
Cade Stover TE
Javon Baker WR
Mekhi Wingo DL
Tyrone Tracy RB
Ray Davis RB
Brandon Dorlus DL
Sataoa Laumea G
Christian Mahogany G
Isaac Guerendo RB
Theo Johnson TE
Mohammad Kamara Ed
Amongst your list Mo Kamara interests me the most.Cha- ching.
First two picks
I have a feeling he will be gone before he gets to us.Amongst your list Mo Kamara interests me the most.
Maybe, but this is where things get truly unpredictable.I have a feeling he will be gone before he gets to us.
