2024 Draft Talk

League-it? Really commish?

Welp, that’s a wrap for tonight. Nick tried but couldn’t make the right deal. I do think there is a 50/50 shot he trades up from 42 tomorrow…and a smaller chance he trades down from 42 a few spots….maybe 20%. 30% chance he sits still.

Should be interesting tomorrow night.
Texans have the luxury of sitting pat I reckon and taking either Fiske or Wilson.
Or, a small move up for Rakestraw.
One of these three should be there and all of these three are needs.

An interesting question that will be answered is whether he's giving a higher priority to the DBs or the DL. And if an OT is taken in the 2nd it'll settle the question of Howard's status.

Dejean
Koolaid
and Jones still on the board…

Drafttek trade value chart says trading pick 42 and 123 can get us to pick 37. Maybe add a 7th to sweeten the pot if one of those three are still on the board… jump Tennessee!

Or just stay at 42 and hope for the WRs to keep getting picked off before the pick comes in.

I’m very happy with how round 1 played out for this team.

Mini off-ball linebacker run here in Round 2, as DeMeco Ryans gets a young and athletic second-level defender in Edgerrin Cooper to fill the void left by Blake Cashman leaving in free agency.

59. Mason McCormick
As a sixth-year player at South Dakota State, McCormick enters the NFL with a high floor, and he can be the eventual Shaq Mason replacement at guard

Well, I guess we weren’t the only ones high on Legette. Happy for my fellow Gamecock making it into the first round. Sad he’s paired with Bryce because I think that caps his potential some. That he moved his draft stock so much from the start of the season to the draft is so very impressive.

Legette made the most sense for the Panthers at that point. He doesn't run deep routes, so getting him the ball should not be an issue.

Since 8 OL have been taken already, taking any OL in the 2nd would be a a massive reach regardless of Howard’s status.

He met with the panthers 4-5 times; he was for sure going there
