Who gives a F. Dang.Thomas Davis is a former player talking.
He's not a beat writer.
There's a genuine difference.

My math teacher..Who gives a F. Dang.
Maybe. But if you were sold on the guy why send 11? Could be they want confirmation that they aren’t making a mistake by not drafting him? Surely they knew who they wanted when they moved up.Texas sending 3 vs Carolina sending 11 to Ohio would probably indicate Stroud is going #1.

I do not think anyone doubts c j's accuracy.
Stroud’s scripted workout showed off the accuracy that is his calling card. He completed 44 of 51 throws, with two dropped passes and five incompletions — all of which came on throws to his left. If the Panthers have made up their mind about who they’re taking No. 1, they’re keeping it close to the vest. But the sense here is that Stroud and Young are the frontrunners. — Person
Yeah at less than 240 lbs he might be better suited as an OLB.I’m starting to see Nolan Smith mocked to us a lot more. How does that kind of player even fit in a 4-3. Feels like we’d have to make him an off ball LB because I don’t see how he can play as a DE with his hand in the dirt

I've been right on the top QB taken in 16 of the past 18 drafts. Most people that follow the draft have been, as well.
McShay allegedly has a source that has been on the money with top QBs picked in the last 5 or 6 years
This has to be one of the more contentious years for ranking QB’s in a while thoughI've been right on the top QB taken in 16 of the past 18 drafts. Most people that follow the draft have been, as well.
Right. This one is hard, the others relatively easy. Just mocking Todd McShay's QB source. This has to be one of the more contentious years for ranking QB’s in a while though
I suspect, and particularly after watching the seeming lovefest between the Carolina reps and CJ while at the pro day, they were just giving him the full arms wide-open 'you're our guy' welcome as soon as possible to get the relationship off on it's best possible foot.
Sounds like you need some faster WRs.Called it a while back. Bryce Young at #2. Finally get a qb who doesn’t overthrow his receivers
They must have heard Texans favour Stroud.
Is there another camera view of Bryce young pro day? The camera seems to be more on him that the actual trajectory of the passes
Sure hope so.Man CJ passes looks so smooth, deadly accurate too. He’s got to be the favourite for the number 1 pick
Reminds me of Parsons as well..I'll let some of the X's and O's guys have at this question. But I do have confidence in Demeco and company. I'm sure they can find creative ways to get him involved with that crazy speed. Kind of reminds me just a little bit of Michah Parsons. Dallas has no issues finding plays for him to make. I could see him playing end on passing downs and/or blitzes. Hand in dirt or stand up? Not sure, I'm not as expert on this as some guys are. I'd be excited by Nolan as long as Demeco sees a plan - I'd be down with it.
Just watched the nfl video of Bryce young’s pro day, yup he looks good to meIs there another camera view of Bryce young pro day? The camera seems to be more on him that the actual trajectory of the passes
Texans’ draft strategy prioritizes reinforcing the trenches.Texans are once again in a quandary.
Their three biggest needs are QB, Edge and WR.
The problem comes right at their first pick.
To get Bryce Young or Will Anderson, they need to use that #2 and it only works once.
Whoever they take, the other will be gone well before their next pick @ #12.
So logically, they need to take the highest priority and that is obviously QB.
So now, at #12, they get a chance at the best WR in the class in Quentin Johnson.
This would be a very nice outcome, but the next opportunity to get a top Edge would require a trade up from #33.
That could be costly - like one of our firsts next year costly and the dropoff in talent is evident after Anderson and Wilson are off the board.
What to do?
Seems to me they should go QB @ #2 and WR @ #12 and try for the best available ED at #33.
Logically.
Alas, that will leave us without a premier pass rusher - something that Texans need to help out the secondary.
