Just wait until the Texans don't select the correct draftnik favorite with Mr. Irrelevant
Aren't we getting a QB there?
I've been watching some games; just weekly recaps from NFL.com and the highlights.I haven’t watched him so this is based off of comments by other teams fans and PFF grades. He was a pretty good starter for a couple years with the Rams earning a 67 and 79 rating in 2018 and 2019 from PFF. He got moved over to the Raiders who apparently played him a bit out of scheme (idk if this is true just what some Raiders fans said on Reddit). He did not play well with Oakland earning a 46 and 47 grade from PFF, maybe for the aforementioned scheme fit issues. He then started about half the games in Carolina last year and played fairly well with a 72 PFF grade.
Looks like a guy who probably won’t be all that good but could be a decent stopgap if DeMeco can work with him.

no, we are going long snapperAren't we getting a QB there?
can we call single tray.. 3? Less for me to type.I'm most looking forward to that backfield of Pierce and Single Tray.
I wonder, if Ryans was HC last draft if he would have okayed Stingley? Too late but would give me a better feel of Demeco going into this draft.Sounds like a slightly upgraded Kirksey. Not a terrible signing. I'm guessing the medicals didn't pan out with Denzel so this was a backup plan. I know Denzel was here for two days late last week. Denzel is a legit starter if healthy but the concern was the health. If the medicals were iffy, I'm glad they passed. Nick needs to do that more often and be more discerning with injury risks, especially in high impact positions like MLB.
Is it the perception of the board that these were good contracts for said players based on what we know?F/A Signings/Trades

This was the free agency I wanted last off season. I didn't expect more Ws just better play.Credit where it's due, these moves should make the team better and more competitive next season. Now they just have to get the draft right.
two for price of one?Now all they have to do is nail the draft and it will be the breast offseason ever.

I don't like all the one year contracts, but I think some of those were Nick, but quite a few were the players wanting 1 year contracts hoping to "prove it" and get better contracts next year. I don't think Nick over paid. Plus why would they come here if other teams were offering longer contracts with better salary? Is it the perception of the board that these were good contracts for said players based on what we know?
Easterby had his Cooks.. Nick has his Rivers? Why does Nick continually give Derek Rivers NFL contracts? 16 career tackles since 2018.
Rankins will prove to be the biggest addition to the team imo. Brings pass rush up the gut. Jalen Carter or Will Anderson tandem with Rankins would be fun to watch.F/A Signings/Trades

I have 5 which will have immediate impact/starters and another 2 or 3 depending on the draft. Is it the perception of the board that these were good contracts for said players based on what we know?
Thanks but my comment was aimed more at the contract $. 7- 8 starters better than last year's will be great and do it again next year.I have 5 which will have immediate impact/starters and another 2 or 3 depending on the draft.
Mason, Schultz, Rankins, Singletary & Ward.
Deiter, Littleton, Wood.
The rest, backups and depth.
If Young comes to Houston, the Texans should immediately get an NFL equipment exemption to have a periscope designed into his helmet...........Deiter is 6'6".Texans signed C Michael Deiter, formerly of the Dolphins.
Deiter started 15 games for the Dolphins at left guard as a rookie in 2019 before being relegated to a bench role in 2020, moving to center at 2021, and playing in another depth role along the offensive line in 2022. He comes off his rookie contract looking to recapture his early career upside in a new setting, heading to the Texans on an undisclosed deal. Deiter should initially settle into a depth role for the rebuilding franchise on a roster lacking much in the way of experience along the offensive line outside of their presumed starters. The news comes directly on the heels of the signings of running back Devin Singletary and tight end Dalton Schultz earlier in the day. per rotoworld
Everyone in the league will eventually play for Caserio. Six degrees of Nick Casino.

That's what I like to hear. Hopefully this translates to much better play on the field.
Would sure like to see him come home...
Welcome back home.

This is a group of novices and rookie coaches in new positions. I would not be surprised to see Demeco have a bigger backyard BBQ draft party with coaches getting a spin on the Wheel of Fortune much like Lovie's draft. That said I am encouraged by what I've seen from Bobby Slowick. Not that surprised me though since he does come from a coaching family (Bob Slowik) and has been indoctrinated and baptized under the Mike Shanahan tree.I wonder, if Ryans was HC last draft if he would have okayed Stingley? If Eeyore er, Texian says it's encouraging, it must be positively sensational. What encouraging things have you seen so far? I haven't seen very much news about him

This includes the rookie pool right? Before the Littleton [$2.2 mil with $500,000 incentives] and Perryman [$no info] signing.
This includes the rookie pool right?
Cap numbers are very fluid. But at this time, after accounting for Littleton, Perryman and the rookie hold, at least at this time I don't see where we have any real cap space left.
The part I think is weird is that you think any benefit of the doubt needs to be extended for a camp body on a 1 year vet minimum contract with the possibility of 40k in dead moneyProbably... Check other organizations who has recently had as close a relationship to losing as we have... I bet you will find some. Frustrating, I know, but the Texan organization is mostly to blame. Why would fans give this organization the benefit of the doubt, at this point?
Before the Littleton [$2.2 mil with $500,000 incentives] and Perryman [$no info] signing.
……dammit man, who’s managing this miracle?
Found Perryman's contract. Haven't been able to find Deiter's contract, although I doubt it doesn't fall between only 1 and 2 million dollars.
