Important Information Regarding the Upcoming Season

We hope that this email finds you and your family safe and healthy. We have important information regarding your 2020 Texans season tickets.
Because of the COVID-19 crisis and our commitment to our loyal season ticket members, we are offering all our season ticket members a choice for 2020:

1. If you want to keep your season tickets, you don't need to do anything at this time. The Texans will continue to work with the NFL, state and local government officials to ensure we have policies and procedures in place that are appropriate to host games in 2020. It is our priority to create and maintain the safest possible environment for our fans at NRG Stadium. We should have additional information later in July on how seating will be managed.

OR

2.
We are offering all season ticket members the ability to take a year off from buying their season tickets. If you decide to do this, you will have no obligation to pay for your season tickets this year - we will take them back into our inventory and we will see you in 2021. If applicable, your PSL will remain in effect.

On this form, you will be able to indicate if you'd like us to apply your previous payment towards your 2021 season tickets along with a 10% credit for food, common drink and merchandise at NRG Stadium in 2021 or request a refund. All refunds will have to go back to your original method of payment and will take up to 15 business days to process.

If you want to take the year off from buying your season tickets, you must click the button below to complete and submit the application form. In order to access the form you will need to log into your season ticket member account

My gut tells me there will be no NFL, College or High School football this year. I am assuming at this point that if we pay this year it will be credited for next year if in fact there is no season.

I took the refund. The 10 percent sounded nice for food and gifts. If rumors are true and they are planning a BLM day I wasn't going anyway.

I took the refund, and saw that I received it between Friday and today.

Important Information Regarding the Upcoming Season
As we continue to work towards opening NRG Stadium to host games in 2020 we want you to know that your safety is our main focus. The NFL has shared with us guidelines and protocols we must follow to host games with fans this season. All fans will be asked to follow Social Distancing guidelines and this will reduce our capacity at NRG Stadium to approximately 14,000 seats. In addition, for the safety of our fans, players and coaches, the first 8 rows of the lower level will not be made available for sale. Other guidelines we must adhere to are:

•
Fans must wear protective masks at all times except for when they are actively eating or drinking
•
To cut down on the number of touchpoints on gameday, all tickets must be mobile (paper tickets will not be issued)

We are continuing to develop the plan for Season Ticket Members that wish to attend games this year and we should have those details by early August. If you are not comfortable with the guidelines mentioned above and you would like to skip the 2020 season, that offer is still available to you. If you select this option, you will have no obligation to pay for your season tickets this year and your 2020 seat location will be protected -- the same seats will be offered to you for renewal for the 2021 season. If you have PSLs for your season tickets, your PSL will remain in effect.

Please let us know by August 1, 2020.

As always, thank you for your tremendous support. We look forward to being with you again soon.

Go Texans!

Go Texans!

I'm anxiously awaiting to see how they figure out which 14,000 people will get to go to games? And tailgating?

I will not be among them. I requested the full refund with the assurance that my seats will be available for the 2021 season.
14,000 fans in that cavernous stadium will feel like a ghost town. The only good things I can see would be short lines for the restrooms, and the ability to hear the QB calling audibles.

I won't be one of them either. It's just gonna be fun to see how they figure it out. Wonder if the beer prices get jacked up some more to make up for the lack of people.

14,000 is 20% capacity.
I have no idea how it will be decided who goes to what games.

The entire game day experience for me was watching the field play live, loud cheering, high fives, hugs, planning a road trip, and in Arlington hanging out on the lawn, watching live performances, crowding into the pro shop, and hanging out after the games to greet the team. Game day experience to me isn’t sitting between cutouts and canned cheers (probably exaggerating), to watch a live performance with 14k in a 70k stadium.

When I read that Baltimore, my planned road trip, had announced their plan that seems almost identical to the Texans plan, I was curious how indoor stadiums would respond. I haven’t heard from the Cowboys yet, but whatever the plan is, I won’t be a part.

Tailgating? We don't need no stinking tailgating. Just drop tailgate of pick 'em up truck in your driveway, grab your cold one and think of all $ you are saving.

Oh I agree. It might be awhile before I trek to NRG for a tailgate. My backyard tailgates are epic enough. No bathroom lines, way cheaper food (and much better) and more comfortable seating.

High School is playing... but not sure about anyone else
