WOW, unexpected. Wish him well and good luck in his future. And yes Vinny I agree, one of the good guys.
I would like to see one of the local radio sports shows bring him on like Mario Elie or Kevin Bass. Not really that unexpected.
Though he came back from a serious injury, he wasn't quite the same.
In the offseasons, he has been working for a local corporation. I talked to someone he worked with and this guy said that Kailee is really really bright and can pretty much write his ticket post football. That he wasn't going to be one of those guys that hangs on to football because they have nothing else.
Good luck Kailee.

He was into trading power/electricity contracts ? You're talking the technical end of it where he actually dealt with acccounts ? And one could do that with this firm you were associated with on a part-time basis ? I suspect he was really in the PR or marketing segment of the business ?Sad to see him go. He actually used to moonlight at an electricity brokerage firm I used to work at and he would show up to work a couple of days a week as an energy trader. I guess the lure of an electricity brokerage career and massive injuries made him see the light.

He always seemed like a very likeable guy when in public. Good luck KW.
That said, seeing that he retired it frees up what ever cap he accounted for, correct? I don't think there's much out there as far as talent goes to sign, but it could be used if there are any player cut that could be beneficial to our team.
He received a degree in economics from Stanford--he can handle more than PR.
Kailee Wong loves the game of football, but he wants to play it the way that works for him.
When the Texans came to him with an attractive offer to remain with the team as a backup, Wong said, "No." The linebacker would rather lose his job than stay in Houston as a well-paid second stringer. Because of his decision, the Texans will release him Thursday.
It's not out of the question for Wong to play for another team if the situation is right. He's not filing his retirement papers in the near future. Still, if the situation isn't right, Wong may not play again.
"I've had a good experience here in Houston," Wong said in a statement. "I'm very fond of this place with its fans. I am very honored to be one of the few Texans that have been here since the beginning and been a part of the franchise."
Didn't realize he was the all time sack leader for the Texans. Oh well, that's a record I think will be broken rather quickly.

That's not the point. He could have had a double major in electrical engineering & finance from MIT or whatever. In other words ones academic resume is just part of the requirements.
I had no idea that people moonlighted or worked on any kind of a less than full time basis as a commodities trader, which is a highly demanding occupation that requires an individuals undivided attention. I don't think its something an individual can dabble in on the side when they've got some spare time.
