Duane Brown's left ankle was getting iced. He was carted to Reliant Stadium for x rays.
I think the word "carted" is always a reason to panic...
He walked off the field without a limp right in front of where I was standing. Definitely wasn't carted off the field.
Thank you Sir for the clarification ! That's a relief. Yes, "carted off the field" and Duane Brown are 2 things a Texans fan never wants to see used together in the same sentence. He walked off the field without a limp right in front of where I was standing. Definitely wasn't carted off the field.

Gary Kubiak said no indication yet on Duane Brown's injury. He got rolled up in a pile & will have an MRI #Texans
FYI - GlassHalfFull definitely not a SIR.
He was carted to Reliant. Not off the field. Heck, I wouldn't want to walk from the field to Reliant if I was healthy, much less with a tweaked ankle.
Let's just pray it isn't the infamous "high ankle sprain".
Duane Brown's injury is to his left ankle. A teammate fell on it. He stayed in for 1-2 more reps & walked off field under own power

Brown was hurt on a running play during 9-on-7s when a teammate fell into his leg. He stayed on the field for one more snap before walking off under his own power. After trainers iced down his ankle on the sideline, Brown was carted across the street to Reliant Stadium for an MRI to determine the severity of the injury.
He got rolled up, kind of got hit on the outside of his leg, Texans coach Gary Kubiak said. Its part of football, unfortunately. Well hold our breath. Hopefully, hes OK.
This is getting less serious by the second. I hate the media.
My apologies to the lady, I had no idea ?He was carted to Reliant. Not off the field. Heck, I wouldn't want to walk from the field to Reliant if I was healthy, much less with a tweaked ankle.
And, Glasshalffull is a young lady.
It's football - guys get knocked on the butts. A lot.Lots of guys on the ground today. Kubiak was getting a little hot about it.

Eversion ankle sprains (foot turned to the outside) (potentially caused by a hit to the outer leg as described) make up only ~10% of all ankle sprains (90% are inversion sprains [foot turned to the inside]). The thing that you worry about the most is that eversion ankle sprains are very commonly associated with a fracture of the fibula bone. Hopefully, beyond a simple stretch of the deltoid ligaments of the inner ankle, it was not violent enough to produce a fracture. Since he walked off the field, supposedly without a limp, fracture is less likely, but would not rule out a stress fracture. The MRI has the best chance of identifying the severity of his injury.
I certainly appreciate all of that, because once when playing I got my elbow dislocated when I was on the ground and got stepped on.In practice coaches don't want guys going to the ground. They don't want you taking guys to the ground.
It happens of course, but you always hear coaches yelling "stay up" or "stay on your feet".
He just tweeted that he is good, thanks for thoughts and concerns!!!

“TexansNation I’m good!!!!Thanks for the thoughts and concerns!”
It’s unclear how much time, if any, Brown will miss, but it doesn’t sound like it will be much. Which means all of ‘Texans Nation’ can breathe a sigh of relief.
We’ll have more on Brown’s injury from Texans head coach Gary Kubiak later this afternoon.

Texans LT Duane Brown: "Bone bruise. Got pretty lucky. Pretty sore. Nothing major." "Extremely relieved." "Day to day."

"It's extremely scary. Once I got the x-rays and everything came out negative, I was extremely relieved." - @DuaneBrown76
Guess I'm a cynic here, but this might give the Texans a bit more leverageGot lucky

to lock-up Duane on their terms rather than his ?
I'm not saying he's damaged merchandise, because I realize (thankfully !) thatBecause of a minor ankle sprain in TC? Not likely...... He'll want at least top 10 tackle money. Most likely Top 5.
