Fire Everyone!

The title is self-explatory! Any predictions for the number of sacks for next weeks game?? I guess.... um.... oh.... 7. 7 is my prediction for next week. Carr.... your gone! Capers.... your gone! O-line... you need to be lined up and shot. I could go on, but I need to take a shower, I just feel dirty after watching that wretched display of football.

Other than Carr, I couldnt say it better - Banks is no better, and Ragoo is not an NFL talent -

Empty Banks, Ragoo sauce, broken down Carr, all of them.... the entire team, get rid of them. I'm too upset to even write more!

There's another 3 hours of my life I won't get back. I need a refund of 4 weeks times 3 hours of life back. Maybe I'll skip watching next weeks game so I can sow, or quilt something. Then, atleast I'd be doing something productive.

anyone know any editors at the Chronicle? maybe they can photoshop the Texans logo and name on that tombstone graphic they ran about the Astros' season being over back in June. will the results be the same? doubtful. i don't see any passion or desire on the texans sidelines (especially from capers). what a frustrating time to be a Texans fan.

Thats a great idea! But we need to photoshop the Texans 'digging their own grave', then willingly sit in the hole while every other team in the NFL take turns piling the dirt on them.

I didn't think they would fire Capers until the end of the season, but my God, McNair has got to do something. The team has quit on Capers!!!!

So if they fire the coaching staff right now, what message does THAT send to the players? Who's left--some interim coach who they know won't be back?

Look, I'm definitely in favor of making changes in the offseason, or even later this year, but right now I'm not so sure how smart it is to fire a head coach after a quarter of the season.

The flipside, of course, is that if the players have already quit on Capers, it won't matter and might actually get a LITTLE better--example: the Dolphins did win a couple of games for Jim Bates last year after they finally dumped Wannstedt.

Firing everyone is the "nuclear option" and I think maybe 0-6 is the point where that starts to look appropriate. 0-4 is still early, even though the team looks truly pitiful out there.

Bottom line: It's not enough to want to fire someone. Who will replace them?

Fire everyone SOUNDS good, but who do you realy replace them with? Remember, they have to be real coaches and available AND better than what we have. Not many come to mind. Jimmy Johnson is out there, but if I were him, I wouldn't touch this team with a ten foot pole until after the season so I could influence the player aquisitions. Remember, we need almost all of the coaches to be replaced, so a lot of others have to come (except Hoake IMO). Given all that, I doubt we make many if any coaching moves until Jan. MIGHT make a FA pickup, but that would be a temp thing and limmited at best.
