More clutch? Matt Schaub vs Tony Romo

Probably Schaub, but "more clutch than Tony Romo" is like saying "better WR than Jacoby Jones" or "a better corner than Kareem Jackson."

Those are extreme comparisons that don't fit at all and you know it.

Romo and Schaub are both QB's that can be clutch at times. The problem is when their teams expect them to be clutch the majority of the time to win games for their teams. They aren't the types of QB's that you can expect that much from on a consistent basis. You've got to have the other units of your team carrying their load a lot better than what the Texans and the Cowboys both have. People need to stop blaming Schaub for every loss just like the delusional media anchors who highlight Romo for every Cowboys loss when Jason Garrett is this pass happy coach that has no idea on how to seal a game with a ball control offense and has Romo airing it out like they're down by 20 in the 4th. Romo and Schaub are what they are. They're good QB's, but they will never be the type of QB that will carry a team to a SB. Very few QB's are though that list consists of about 5 or 6 guys out of 32 teams, so having a guy like Romo or Schaub isn't bad at all.

Yeah, it was an intended exaggeration -- but I do think that even though they put in some "clutch" performances, there is a knack (especially with Romo) for being ridiculously unclutch at the most critical moment which negates the more "clutch" moments.

I'm just looking back to Schaub's last drive. Some could say that it was "clutch" for him to drive the team 60 yards in less than two minutes, especially considering a sack, a facemask and a bad snap. And before the last play, it was. But *one* really, really unclutch performance in the "play of the game" pretty much undoes all the "clutch" that preceded it.

I'd put money on Romo actually. Of course he could make a horrible bone-headed mistake but I would put more faith in him driving down the field.

Need a FG to win, I'd take Schaub
If I need a TD, I go Romo.
